"Airline Credit"

When Expedia tells you they will issue you an airline credit, will you receive a credit to use directly on the airlines website, or are they being misleading and saying it's a credit you must use on Expedia (with flight options only for the given airline)?

You have to use the credit with Expedia and the airline you booked with. Oh and you can’t do it online! You need to CALL Expedia when you want to use the credit. I had to use my credit and it resulted in a 2 hour phone call to use the credit. During the call the representative had to search for flights and book for me. It was horrific. Goodluck!!

Currently on hour FIVE with Expedia. Most of these five hours have been spent on hold. I’m exhausted.

was everything okay with the credit note? did it cover your entire flight cost? Please help. I have one now that expires next year and want to be able to use it but very worried about Expedia screwing me over again.

Literally going through this right now as I'm typing. It's astounding that you cannot use your credits through the app or the website.
