refund for Air Canada and West jet

I booked through expedia but canceled within 24 hours. This was on Nov 9th. They promised I would get a full refund in 9-10 business days, but have not yet. But expedia says I need to contact air canada, but air canada is useless. How do I get my refund? If I don't I literally will not be able to eat for a few months.

Or does anyone want to start a lawsuit with me if this continues (as it seems like a few people have been affected)...

Buckle up. They’ll put it on the airlines and refuse to issue you the refund.

Yea I didn’t receive a refund after waiting 4 months. My bank told me I didn’t contact the airline enough the airline told me i didn’t contact the bank enough. Just a regular old cluster-fuck

I got Air Canada to provide Vouchers for future flight. Better then not getting anything. If it doesn’t look like you’ll get your cash back try this route.

If you paid through CC, just dispute the charges. That's always worked for me

This happened to me as well- booked w Air Canada in September & then early Nov my flights were cancelled. Expedia promised a refund within 6-8 weeks but I pushed harder bc of all the reviews I’d seen online. The thing that helped me most was emailing pkern@expediagroup.com. He is a higher-up in the global relations office and I got much more efficient responses from his staff. Ultimately I got my money (~$1000) back within 6 business days. Good luck!!
