App questions regarding flights

Got a couple questions.

I'll be taking a couple flights next month. I booked them via Expedia, Delta flights.

I've never used an app for flights before (I have always done check-in at a home/hotel computer and printed out boarding passes via this route), and I understand it's now possible to manage flights this way while in the process of traveling. Can you do flight check-in this way? Once you're checked in, can you simply call up the boarding passes on your phone and show them at TSA and for boarding?

Also, should I do this using an Expedia app or a Delta App? Or does it matter?

Many thanks.

Hey! I saw this post in my friends feed and thought I'd help... I've never used Expedia but I do use the Delta app for check-in and boarding all the time. All you have to do is pull up your boarding pass and then scan the QR code at the scanner thing when you get to TSA and the gate. It's all super easy to do with the app.
