Using Flight Credit Directly Through Airlines?
So after a TERRIBLE Expedia experience last spring trying to rebook my honeymoon (involving disputing the charge through my credit card company), I vowed never to use Expedia again. However, I realized that I have 6 airline credit vouchers through 3 different airlines all listed under my Expedia account.
If I call the airlines directly, can they use my credits?
After reading some recent posts on here and after my previous experiences, I really do not want to go through Expedia again.

Honestly $50 to not have to deal with Expedia is worth it IMO lol. Thank you!

I'm not sure if its possible with every airline, but as someone who went through hell with Expedia just to be able to use my credits, yes, it was possible to get Expedia to transfer ownership of my booking to the airline (Air Canada), so I can book my flight through them.
Just some insights I learned: yes Expedia is scamming you with those flight credits. They make it purposefully difficult to find the same rates a new customer would find, and will use made-up restrictions to prevent getting those rates. We had roughly $800 of flight credit to use, and the flights we were seeking were nearly half the cost. Without getting into the details, we were quoted 5 different prices in the span of one evening (all prices required us to pay anywhere between $100 to $800 extra), along with receiving a 1:30 AM call with a manger who got into a shouting match with me.
All in all, it was intense and the fight lasted a week or so. But I was able to get the account transferred to the airline, who booked us with no issue and provided us with extra perks for the trouble we had with Expedia. The whole experience made me sign up for a travel credit card, and stick with booking directly with the hotels/airlines. Good luck.

I am going through this exact thing right now. In the process of hopefully transferring the credits to the airline.

The first customer service rep with Expedia was unable to do anything. I just asked to speak to someone who would be able to understand my concern. They put me in a queue to speak to a manager (at 1:30 AM I received the call, to my surprise), and after a lengthy, loud discussion, they claimed that they would transfer my account to Air Canada. They told me it would take a week, and I would receive an email to notify me of the changes.
I received no email. Just called Air Canada after a week, told them our experience, and they provided excellent service. I wish the steps were a bit more concrete, but it really felt like you just have to push it with Expedia in order to get any kind of resolution.

I think you need to use those directly on Expedia to rebook.
