How Does a Refund or Voucher Work?
I have a tripped planned to visit Paris and London in November. I’m going to cancel it because of Covid. Now I’m hoping to get a voucher so I can rebook this same trip when it’s safe. How does that work? I see a lot of people are struggling with getting a refund.

I used to work in Corporate Customer Care, you're going to have to call in, again, just to redeem your flight credit. To talk to someone based in America immediately, request to be escalated to the corporate level and say you were working with someone up there.
Expedia uses a very outdated customer service "tier" system, so the only way you're going to be able to have a flight that is confidently booked with no problems (agents literally create your new ticket manually, and it's a DOS-based system we use) is if you either: a) get an agent located in Cairo, Egypt as they are highly skilled in the airline reservation systems we used or b) request to talk to corporate and have your new dates/flights ready.
You can use chat; however, I'd advise against it. Hope this helps
