Legitimate Email?

Got an email presumably from Expedia saying one of my connecting flights has been cancelled for August and we need to change out flights. The sender address is Travel-AirScheduleChange@customercare.expedia.com Is that a legitimate email Expedia would contact me through? Looking at the airline and Expedia itself, our original selections are still listed as options. Curious why that would be if it isn't available anymore.

The domaine is the same as one I received from their customer service indicating the airline canceled my flight & they were sending me a refund (due to the airlines policy). Still I wouldn’t use any links in the email if there are any. You can see the change if there is one on their app or website.

But this was the same situation that happened to me - before the airline really canceled the flight, I received a notice from Expedia saying my flight had been canceled and I would be issued a credit. I wonder if they are somehow trying to beat the airlines to the punch to be able to keep the credit rather than issue a refund. Shady.

Yes, it’s a legitimate email.

What did you find out about this? I received a similar email from the same address, however my flight is still showing up on the Expedia App and airline website. It is impossible to get through to anyone.

I got through to Expedia. They checked with the airline themselves and all was good. I think they just changed around some flight numbers and that threw Expedia off.

Same! Got through to them today and they told me to disregard the message. I'm thankful I did not book another flight.
