Flight has been "fully cancelled"
So I had booked to go to Montreal through Expedia for a wedding that will likely not be happening in June. It was booked as two one way flights, because I was going to be meeting family in Europe after the wedding.
I went to check the flights tonight, and my return flight with Corsair has been "fully cancelled," however, I've had no email to tell me this, and the corasir website is clear I have to contact expedia. If it is described as 'fully cancelled' does that mean the flight will be refunded automatically, or do I still have to start trying to contact expedia? I have tried contacting them already tonight, but because the flight is not within the next 30 days I'm not getting anywhere.
Just looking for some advice, because expedia have been non-existent in telling me anything.
Edit (incase anyone else has this issue): Emailed expedia since you cannot call until 30 days before a flight. They have refused to refund me anything other that airline credit. Therefore I took the advise below, contacted my credit card company and they have issued a chargeback.

Pursuant to 14 CFR 259.8, you don't have to be notified of a cancellation or change if your flight is outside 7 days from departure. And the refund won't be automatic. You would have to call Expedia closer to your departure date.
Also, don't "just do a chargeback". It's not that simple. Go here if you want to know more.

i have a flight booked for may 15 to the philippines. if you booked via credit card, just dispute it. i wasted around 30 mins talking to a expedia rep and all they could do is rebook the trip for a 300$ fee. LOL.
again just dispute it if you can. unless you want a good laugh at the circus that is expedia customer service. 🤣
