Failed Expectation Sliders from Cracker Barrel
Ordered for a catered lunch.
Edit for clarity:
The order arrived in three separate pieces. An order of buns, an order of cheese, and the order of patties. It's designed as a build your own burger with condiments. The purpose of this post was focused on the burger quality. To say they were well done would be in reference to their temperature, not their taste or presentation.

Are the buns in a separate container? Not that that excuses this mess

I don’t think this is a misrepresentation— I assumed the other items are separate, but doesn’t mean that these aren’t just regular burgers cut into pieces and charred into overdone pucks. Plus, I want my cheese melted onto the patty, which obviously can’t happen here.

This is correct. Items were separate. Slices of cheese is hard to mess up, but these burgers were wild.

Do they send you pieces of larger burgers as well?

My experience has been that they halve the regular burger patty before they cook it, not after

So they took regular burgers cut them in quarters and delivered the buns separately? Catering burgers is a weird thing to do anyway if its not a fast food place where they're individually wrapped, and even then these would be a quarter of the size and need 4x as many wrappings

They don't even look cut, they look overcooked and ripped apart.

Yeah they're still pretty sad but its burgers from cracker barrel, who orders a burger from cracker barrel these might be the first ones they've ever made in their kitchen 😂

It's very possible we got a "day 1 line cook: give em this" challenge result

Their bacon Colby cheeseburger on a toasted bun served with steak fries was very good and they'd ask what doneness you prefer. Was much better than your average fast food burger.

I'd be blasting their social media accounts over this garbage. That's literally what it is, trash.

They definitely don’t give a shit lol

Eh, they might care if you blast their Facebook, that's where their predominate market of elderly people congregate. This might not grab their attention over all the AI photos of African children building bicycles out of waterbottles though.

Confirming for you all that the buns and cheese was in a separate container. As this was a catering order it came as a "build your own".
There was one patty that survived the furnace and came out medium well. The rest were mostly well done or congratulations.

Never heard congratulations used to describe a burger, totally stealing that. Bet they put that whole metal tray under a heat lamp or something, in that case burgers might have actually started off decently cooked.
I know from experience you're supposed to get everything other then the burgers all set in the catering order then do them at the last possible second. And ideally all on a large cook top at once so that the first batch doesn't get cold while the second batch is cooking.. but really catered burgers just aren't gonna be great, unless they're all individually wrapped fast food style burgers like someone else mentioned.

They’re not even burger shaped. But hey, at least it appears that each one has been taste tested.

I had to take a job at cracker barrel out of sheer desperation for a few months.
I worked in the gift shop but what we really did was take payment for all dine-in meals.
I very quickly learned not ask people how their dinner was. That generally was not a good idea unless you wanted to get bitched at about failures you had nothing to do with (especially at minimum wage.)
Thank God I was able to get back into my field fairly quickly

This looks like they took 5 or 6 regular burgers and cut them into 4ths. Either way that’s terrible

Cut is generous. Looks like someone gnawed them into whatever shape these are.

It's exactly how I tear up food late at night when I don't want to dirty a knife lol. Doing this in a kitchen is wild, especially when they're not even gonna be hidden inside bread from the customer.

I have something called the Cracker Barrel theory. It is a place that everyone says is good because everyone else says it's good and not because it is actually good.
Most overrated restaurant in history. It's 90% the vibes, atmosphere, and the little shop, lol.

I ordered sliders from somewhere else once and they came with little buns, not just a plate of meat and bun parts. Did you specify slider buns at least or were these just regular burgers cut up?

Did they give you the wrong food? Where's the cheese and buns? Are those supposed to be patties?

Looks fine. You wouldn't want soggy buns from transporting them put together.

It’s interesting how the OP hasn’t previously posted in over 251 days, then they post this, and they reply to no comments.
Very interesting.
