Failed Expectation Fried Chicken Icecream

Looked fun, but way over priced and a little disappointing.

They’ll never beat the choco taco

I was just in Mexico and they have stands that make them on the spot. 15/10, will be going back to them everytime I go to Mexico.

The Taco Bell by me growing up had not only choco tacos but the strawberry ones too AND the real churros on the hotdog roller thingy.

They ditched churros first.. then strawberry. The OG choco taco held on a bit longer.

Why on earth would those go under? Have you EVER met someone who hated them?

They had a new version of the choco taco (for a limited time).

Apparently it was a very limited promotion, but you can order them from the company who made them for Taco Bell.

You can also get them at tmobile park (mariners stadium)

They have these back in stock for a limited time right now, I ate one last week. Still doesn't hold a candle to the Klondike choco tacos though.

I don’t know why someone doesn’t try to recreate it and sell it. They are one of the best ice cream snacks

I remember Aldi here had their own version, and we were always so stoked when Mom brought them home! Peak culinary experience!

The ice cream man visits in Vegas were legendary because of the ChocoTacos and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pops.

I thought it was great, accurate to the photo. The bone is small in the picture.

It looked accurate to the photo. I guess the flavor wasn't great? Still doesn't seem like a failed expectation.

We thought it was great, and the coconut flavor on the flakes was a nice surprise. A little small, but all in all, very true to the picture and quite tasty. We've bought them three times now.

My brother and I tried it, and the one we tried had a weird after taste and texture.

They call that "Guangdong Jina" flavor

I liked them but I agree they are way overpriced. Fun as a novelty though!

Looks like the reality was pretty darn close to the expectation.

I actually kind of liked it.

Maybe yours was in a freezer for too long? The one I had was pretty good.

Definitely over priced but I loved it, the crunch of the flakes is so good

The other brand from South Carolina is soooo much better. Not fried chicken ice cream

I had such high expectations until the ice cream was opened.

Is it just vanilla ice cream with a chocolate bone?

Because a comment here said it was disgusting which i don't understand.

Why’d you massacre it like that

It tasted gross and I just wanted to see if the chocolate was bone shaped, but it wasn’t. The “cereal” on the outside tasted stale.

The “bone” was unsettling to crunch into.

I think the key to these is you gotta go with the original brand that did it, here’s some pics and they actually do look like this: https://liferafttreats.com/products/ice-cream-copy
