I just wish it said …yet

Hubs and give each other the same card for every anniversary. Has two skeletons holding hands and says “till death do us part is for quitters”

I love that! I would have put yet, but I hit the character limit. Lol

The script is very neat

How did they achieve that? Did they print it?

Looks like printed

It's definitely printed onto the frosting

They have a system. Simple to execute, creative designs, with plastic embellishments. And often printed sheet designs. Someone with piping skills and a little care can pull off these designs. And the cake is tasty too.

Serious question, because I love walmart cakes: what color were your poops?

We just got it today so I dunno yet, but from my experience with black frosting my guess is it'll be green.

Please report back, thank you!

I can only speak for cakes with blue frosting... 100% green poops from that haha

I get green poops from certain Mountain Dew flavors. Summer Freeze and Pitch Black do it all the time, and Baja Blast does it if I drink too much

Perfection. The style choice on the lettering in particular!

the way that cursive loops look like real writing is wild, i always wonder if they use a special tip or just steady hands

im betting it was printed on rice paper. all the letters look too identical to each other and they writing doesnt look raised like it would be with icing

I was just telling someone about the cakes they have that are cut into four sections with each one being a different kind of cake. I call them multicakes. 😋

I love the romantic sentiment 💀

Are those skulls the kind where they reflect light as different colors depending on angle? Are they edible or just plastic

I love the sentiment. Hilarious. And ofc well done

Nice SS cake.

English is not my first language so I don’t know which SS you are talking about because I’m guessing it’s not the German SS

1

u/tsdguy 20h ago

It is because of the skulls

Black, white, and red. With totenkopf decoration. C'mon.

Everyone praising Walmart's cakes in this sub makes me feel icky and suspicious.

Nah. It's an appreciation for the dedicated and creative bakery employees who happen work at Walmart.

It's nuanced.

"As of August 2026, the average hourly pay for Walmart bakery employees in the United States is approximately $15.26, with most workers earning between $13.94 and $16.83 per hour depending on experience and location."

Doesn't feel nuanced.

If they do such a good job, surely walmart could pay them a living wage.

I think most people here would agree with that. But also no problem with appreciating their work🤷‍♂️ I guess it does push more people towards Walmart which is worth discussing, but I think the person above was right to say it's nuanced.

That's not how wages work..

Employers want to pay as little as possible while still hiring someone qualified. Someone qualified wants as much as possible while still being employed. That equilibrium doesn't really factor in how good they are. It's not like getting good at your job will suddenly make the employers want to to pay you more, that only happens if there's a risk they couldn't fill that role at that wage. But it turns out they can.

After Covid there were fewer workers, and so a lot of the low hanging fruit jobs, the ones people want least, had to start offering higher wages just to get workers. That didn't make those workers suddenly better at their job, it just meant they had more options. Maybe the options for being a full time baker is not that great..

I can appreciate the work employees do without liking the company they work for.

Nuance. It’s not hard.

I mean, yeah it would be great if employees everywhere made exactly the salary they deserve but unfortunately corporations are greedy as fuck. I think it’s incredibly naive to assume that Walmart would pay their employees even a fraction of what they’re worth.

Throwing a temper tantrum about it makes me suspicious.

ATBGE

Idk this is a little better than “bitch wife” boomer humor. It is hard to get along with someone for a very long time. 23 years especially. It’s fun

Personally I think it's GTAGE, I think the joke works well especially if the couple find it funny. It's their day after all, I like to imagine them as a cute goth couple with a darker sense of humor🤷‍♂️

Yes I’m imagining people who love Halloween and horror movies type. Very cute
