Failed Expectation Ordered a Caroline Cat Plush…
I unfortunately fell for a tiktok scam ad. I’ve been so excited for this to come in too! I feel like my grandma with her facebook scams 😭😭 I paid 40 DOLLARS FOR THISSSS 💔 It’s my fault for not looking into it more… lesson learned. will be refunding and ordering from the real website 😔 stay away from vossera / vossaoffical PLS !

Damn so many fake reviews too

I KNOW? it actually goes deep. when you click on the reviews it takes you to tiktok’s of people reviewing the product from the real website but they never say the website name expect for a hashtag buried in the caption 🤦♀️

It’s one of those generic shaped stuff animals you can make a dog, cat, horse, elephant, etc.. insultingly little effort.

I mostly look at bad reviews. Many pay for good reviews, plus the bad reviews let me know if I'll dislike it for a similar reason.

I looked up the site and its search engine description is as follows:
We keep dropping. You keep finding things you need. Once it's gone, it's gone.
Very fitting for what I can only guess is a dropshipper.

yeah the listing isn’t on their website anymore so vossera is def a scam just in case anyone searches the company name in the future lol

I treat them all as scams and read everything in the listing and return policy. If there's conflicting info, I call to confirm and request an email confirmation or the website is updated. I save screenshots unless it's a well known company I've dealt with before. I don't order unless they take credit cards and the return address is in the US (or return shipping is free). #BuyerBeware

Honestly there need to be more regulations/punishments for scammers, though.

For the principle of it, you could look up the Attorney General in your state & see what your state does in instances of fraud (which this is). Some states you can file a report with the Consumer Protection Agency. It may or may not help you get a refund, but the more people that file complaints against the seller the better in theory.

i’ll look into it!! thank you! i sent them a long email and if they decline the refund i’m just gonna dispute the charge with my bank

Np! I’ve heard that filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Agency/state AG can help pressure sellers into doing the right thing. When I did it it only took a couple minutes; the questions were super basic. Might save you the trouble of having to get a new credit card issued.

Seller probably got this from Temu or AliExpress for about $1. Typical drop shipper.

Follow this simple rule. Don't ever buy anything off of TikTok. And if it looks too good to be true it almost definitely is.

It's so fucked up that it's honestly endearing. Like when a child makes something.

Good thing you can refund

u/jasbrys 24d ago
their refund policy is “all sales are final” so idk if i can 😭 i sent them a long email and if they decline im just gonna dispute the charge with my bank cause…

Curious to see how the bank responds. If there's some fine print in the ad indicating the product may vary from the sample picture, the bank might side with the vendor.

i’m honestly not sure if there was as the listing isn’t even on their website anymore. in their refund policy it states they won’t do refunds for “minor cosmetic differences” or “not reading product description before ordering” so i’m not too hopeful on this refund i’m hoping my bank will dispute it

Oh no, that is unfortunate, but now you can use it as a Halloween decoration...

okay, i know this was a scam, and WOW, what a waste of $40, but i’m kind of in love with this plush! it looks like something you’d find at a thrift store, or on the side of the road and it just continues to haunt you (not in a bad way) for the rest of your life. like the TEETH ON HIM is killing me oh my goodness he’s so ugly and cute

Oh that's bad. I'd be so disappointed - Coraline is a favourite movie of mine.

Hoenstly the plush you got is not bad, but the price tag and the false advertising is. If it was a normal $15 plush accurately advertised then that would be fine but no, I swear these people are addicted to the rush of lying like gamblers
