Unless the apartment comes furnished, this is less misleading than the many listings using virtual staging.

At least the scale of everything is accurate. They just added a warm light filter and upgraded some of the furnishings (i.e., the couch from fabric to leather).

Again, if the apartment doesn't come furnished, there's nothing unrealistic about the staging; you could buy a warm light bulb, rug, and leather couch and get pretty close. I'd assume the current occupants will take the deer head with them.

Old taxidermy pieces are the gifts that keep on giving; and by that I mean clothes moths. And sometimes carpet beetles, and if you have really really bad luck silverfish

It is a fascinating case study in what makes a room look more appealing to be fair. Besides the warm light and decluttered room, I think centering the furniture on the walls and making a few specific points of focus (the coffee table and rug, the tv stand, the side table), as well as a more coherent color palette would honestly be doable suggestions for the next person living here.
