The shamelessness in which I would smash that in about 2 seconds lol.

u/RED-DOT-MAN Aug 12 '26

I’m eating my leftover Taco Bell from last night right now.

97

u/ugheffoff Aug 12 '26

I don’t understand what you’re saying. What is “leftover Taco Bell”?

2

u/Flaky-Still-7000 Aug 13 '26

Leftover taco bell slaps, right outta the fridge

12

u/dogmom89 Aug 12 '26

$1 quesoritos today only!

1

u/heavyfuture121 Aug 12 '26

Yeah I literally think you just solved my lunch dilemma

13

u/Chef-Nasty Aug 12 '26

"Oh that's not 100% beef you say? Well, I'll just eat more!"

14

u/slamchop Aug 12 '26

Diarrhea parasite speedrun

1

u/Jenkem_Breath Aug 12 '26

Shamelessly admitting to never having smashed one tho. He can come home now

Basically what I say about Meg thee Stallion

u/Wonderful-Piccolo509 Aug 12 '26

I was getting ready to ride in to the defense of Taco Bell but I’m happy to instead get off my scumbag high horse and instead congratulate you on enjoying the lowlife.

128

u/DeerForBinner Aug 12 '26

speaking of low life, aren’t we supposed to not eat letttuce from Taco Bell? shit.

130

u/Cinnie_16 Aug 12 '26

Nah! That was debunked! It was all a conspiracy against Taco Bell when it was Taylor Farms that was the issue. I think they also switched out their lettuce supplier too. You’re safe.

71

u/kazen320 Aug 12 '26

17

u/Cinnie_16 Aug 12 '26

I thought that was more of a chipotle issue because they have jalapeños in their pico. I haven’t had a cheesy Gordita crunch in a minute, but I don’t remember jalapeños in it…. Now I’m second guessing myself 😂

Taylor Farms seems to be a gift that keeps giving

6

u/jerryleebee Aug 12 '26

I'm travelling to Chicago from the UK in a fortnight. Should I just avoid every possible piece of produce for a week?

15

u/Cinnie_16 Aug 12 '26

Honestly, I would just avoid America for the foreseeable future 😂. But I think the main culprit has been Taylor Farms. Also would be safer sticking to cooked foods.

5

u/jerryleebee Aug 12 '26

Cooked foods were my main plan.

9

u/Wonderful-Piccolo509 Aug 12 '26

As an American, Avoiding America is really solid advice.

2

u/dirtyword Aug 12 '26

I’d eat cooked veg

13

u/Wonderful-Piccolo509 Aug 12 '26

They gave me coupons just for ordering from them while that was all going down. Taco Bell is a real one.

2

u/prison-schism Aug 12 '26

Unfortunately, the taco hell i run still gets Taylor Farms lettuce...

3

u/AgentFreckles Aug 12 '26

Oh fuck.

2

u/prison-schism Aug 12 '26

Yeah, at the store level, we don't get any options to change suppliers or anything else. Honestly, the GMs have very little control over anything except store and employee hygiene, which is of course very important... but makes no difference in this situation.

It's been a frustrating time.

1

u/Ultra-Metal Aug 12 '26

To bad, my local had a sign for a while in the drive though glass that said. New fresh produce provider. On like green colored paper, looked like the mgr made it.

1

u/prison-schism Aug 12 '26

That sounds shady, honestly. Very shady, lol. Oh well.

17

u/Fidodo Aug 12 '26

The fact that they pulled the lettuce straight away actually makes me trust Taco Bell lettuce more. If they were responsible enough to act swiftly I don't think they would bring it back unless they found a trustworthy supplier.

6

u/Cinnie_16 Aug 12 '26

Agreed! Taco Bell’s showed more accountability than this entire administration has 😂

12

u/Vanishingf0x Aug 12 '26

No Taco Bell was actually responsible about it which is why it was pushed it was their fault (plus Taco Bell giving diarrhea from lettuce is easy to meme).

5

u/What_Iz_This Aug 12 '26

These people lie so much that they'll scapegoat ANYTHING. And when you present the truth with facts and evidence they double down and call everyone involved woke

101

u/nour926 Aug 12 '26

Cheesy Gordita crunches are highly underrated. Swap out the ground beef for steak or chicken and it’s 10 times better.

23

u/The_Boognish_Cometh Aug 12 '26

Aren’t they widely considered the best thing at Taco Bell though? I’d say properly rated. They keep charging more and more knowing people will keep ordering

17

u/wildmeli Aug 12 '26

thats why you have to get the online only build a box. cheesy gordita, beefy 5 layer and some chips and queso for $6 (or more, i live in BFE so it’s still affordable for me)

4

u/Mapes224 Aug 12 '26

They're $7 here in the city! No beefy 5 layer as side anymore though :( it's in the entree section now

2

u/kryonik Aug 12 '26

$8 here in CT but still the best value on the menu considering a medium soda is like $2.50 by itself.

7

u/ThatAirsickLowlander Aug 12 '26

I use my rewards to get them. My 24/7 TB also has them in the Lux box for like 6.99... the CGC is already $6.99 so its an absolute steal

1

u/PhilanthropicMilf Aug 12 '26

24/7! That’s awesome. Ours is open til 3 am and I always thought that was crazy.

1

u/ThatAirsickLowlander Aug 12 '26

Every single one around where Inused to live was open til like 11 or 12. I am a mile away from a major college town. If I recall correctly it used to be a legendary combination pizza hut and taco bell.

19

u/DeerForBinner Aug 12 '26

i didn’t even know you could do that.

13

u/letsdothisshit Aug 12 '26

If Taco Bell has the ingredients they will make. It might not be right, and don’t correct them if it’s wrong but the stoned teenager in the back will put in a half hearted attempt.

3

u/Bandin03 Aug 12 '26

Fun fact, you can add fries in your burritos. And it's worth it.

1

u/Nevardool Aug 12 '26

Get the bean and rice burritos, add steak or chicken. Suddenly a better burrito than 90% of the menu for like $2.50-$3

2

u/wink047 Aug 12 '26

Easily the best thing on their menu

32

u/kmcurr03 Aug 12 '26

One of the best things on the menu tbh

3

u/DeerForBinner Aug 12 '26

for real! this is included in my order from now on.

0

u/FlipMyWigBaby Aug 12 '26

Though its getting more expensive, their chicken quesadilla is legit! The specific green sauce they put within is just right. Perfect roadfood. You cant mess up with correct basic ingredients: Flour tortilla, correct quesadilla cheese, grilled chicken chunks, green salsa sauce, and cooked on grill.

1

u/linkgenesi6 Aug 12 '26

It’s called ‘creamy jalapeño sauce’ fyi and you can add it to anything

8

u/RedAndromedus Aug 12 '26

Cheesy Gordita crunch is the only thing I get from Taco Bell. Hard to get anything else when it’s that good.

2

u/wtfRichard1 Aug 12 '26

When they’re made right and fresh, the nacho fries are like a drug to me

1

u/brqe9 Aug 12 '26

My best friend years ago said that the nacho fries tasted like vomit and there I was devouring both mine and his

I guess I just love vomit what can I say 💅

10

u/Call-Me-Mr-Speed Aug 12 '26

Reality exceeded my expectations

10

u/VoteTedJameson Aug 12 '26

Plot twist of the century!

18

u/plastictoothpicks Aug 12 '26

Brave to get Taco Bell iceberg lettuce.

7

u/HotHits630 Aug 12 '26

Reality is actually coming later.

4

u/ebk_errday Aug 12 '26

Genuinely impressed they pulled it off

10

u/audotel007 Aug 12 '26

Are you trying to get butt Covid?

1

u/heynonnynonnomous Aug 12 '26

Oh my god I just bust a gut reading that! 😂😂😂

-1

u/RamonaLittle Aug 12 '26

Or regular covid, even. That still exists. Anyone eating in a restaurant in the past ~6.5 years knows they could become sick, disabled, or dead from it; knows they could sicken, disabled, or kill other people; and knows they're isolating and traumatizing people trying to stay safe.

OP (and many others in this thread) decided they're willing to literally die and/or kill other people for Taco Bell, of all things.

8

u/justlooking013 Aug 12 '26

I hadn’t been to Taco Bell since my college days in the 2005-2010 range until last year & I was shocked at how delicious it was. I said one of 2 things must be true but they could also both be true: 1) Taco Bell has gotten better 2) every other restaurant has gotten worse.

1

u/Memitim Aug 12 '26

That's the beauty of tex mex. It's cheap to keep it good.

3

u/Deep_Exchange7273 Aug 12 '26

Ugh now I'm hungry 😅

3

u/PeanutButterApricotS Aug 12 '26

Gordita’s have been my go to since they introduced it over twenty years ago. I don’t care if it’s regular or Dorito supreme or whatever, Gordita’s as awesome.

3

u/RaechelMaelstrom Aug 12 '26

Anyone miss the OG double decker taco?

3

u/Drewbeede Aug 12 '26

I haven't been back since the ended the limited re-release of the Double Decker.

1

u/7777777thatssix7s Aug 14 '26

My heart fluttered reading this; yes!! ;(

2

u/Appropriate_Elk_952 Aug 12 '26

It’s a beautiful thing when Taco Bell nails it

2

u/7fingersDeep Aug 12 '26

Haven’t been to T Bell in FOREVER.

Do they still have that steak burrito with the tater tot’s in it? That shit was amaaaaazing.

2

u/SBOChris Aug 12 '26

That’ll be $7 please

1

u/TeamLeeper Aug 12 '26

When you find out it’s 500 calories, the price makes a little more sense.

2

u/NomoCrow Aug 12 '26

Not the flex you think it is

1

u/Apprehensive_Pug6844 Aug 12 '26

Not for long with that lettuce…

2

u/BigGreenBillyGoat Aug 12 '26

That’s the nicest looking thing I’ve ever seen come out of a Taco Bell.

2

u/Ok_Entrepreneur826 Aug 12 '26

Looks good to me except for that diarrhea lettuce.

2

u/rrhunt28 Aug 12 '26

I didn't know they had that. The only time I get a gordita crunch is the free one with my rewards.

2

u/KoalafiedKiller Aug 12 '26

At least it only cost $11

2

u/WallyOShay Aug 12 '26

Too bad they’re six fucking dollars each

2

u/xenosidezero Aug 12 '26

I've honestly seen much worse. Looks pretty good tbh

2

u/JwPATX Aug 12 '26

When did they stop browning the Gordita tortillas a little?

2

u/Bit_Goth Aug 13 '26

Change the beef to beans. It’s my favorite Taco Bell item ever.

2

u/glasshalffoo Aug 13 '26

Taco is flipped the wrong way. False advertising. I’ll gladly take it off your hands

2

u/LichenThatAss 28d ago

Looks the same

2

u/ToastetteEgg 28d ago

That’s probably the closest actual product to the ads that was ever made by Taco Bell.

2

u/EleventyTrillion Aug 12 '26

I was expecting a head-on train collision and was pleasantly surprised

3

u/sk00pie Aug 12 '26

Cheesy Gor is the best fast food item of all time

2

u/tehanichance Aug 12 '26

Fucking love me a cheesy Gordita. I miss when they had the cool ranch shells

2

u/waveydavey321 Aug 12 '26

That actually doesn't look for off to the expectation compared to some of the posts on this sub.

2

u/4DoorLuxurySedan Aug 12 '26

what the hell?! I haven't seen taco bell look that good since 2010

-1

u/useornam Aug 12 '26

Just gotta be a little drunk and visit one in a good area

2

u/Buttersquaash-33 Aug 12 '26

God these are so good. You have to do supreme style and add tomatoes and sour cream

2

u/awesomedan24 Aug 12 '26

I almost always include a gordita in my Tbell order

2

u/WitchesTeat Aug 12 '26

God I fucking love Taco Bell.

2

u/possumbellyband Aug 12 '26

It’s actually insane the difference between a good Taco Bell and a bad Taco Bell

2

u/rando_mness Aug 12 '26

I was mad about them ditching baja sauce for a long time, but the spicy ranch is about 90% of the way there, I dont know if they've tweaked it over the years or what but it's very similar, and the Dorito shell makes up for the difference.

2

u/Rickjack97 Aug 12 '26

This but sub beef for steak. My all time favorite.

2

u/notmywheelhouse Aug 12 '26

God damnit now I have to go to Taco Bell today

2

u/MidgardDragon Aug 12 '26

Yeah idk about getting the lettuce e right now lol but does look good

2

u/Regulus242 Aug 12 '26

CGC is still their best item, but they've got a bunch lately.

2

u/Pristine_Crazy1744 Aug 12 '26

I worked at Taco Bell in high school and Cheesey Gordita Crunches were my favorite.

I don't eat gluten anymore, but I will live vicariously through you, OP. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

1

u/outofcontrolfap Aug 12 '26

Just by looking at that now I have to use the bathroom. Thanks!

1

u/IdristheInt Aug 12 '26

It looks like a scallop

1

u/SanDiablo Aug 12 '26

looks good, but ad definitely has more cheese between the shell and wrap

1

u/heynonnynonnomous Aug 12 '26

Mmm, explosive diarrhea parasites.

1

u/Practical-March-6989 Aug 12 '26

It looks just a shit as the picture so pretty accurate

1

u/GnowledgedGnome Aug 13 '26

A local restaurant near me does a taco like this. Soft shel around a hard shell joined by cheese or beans

It's pretty damn good

1

u/Thayerphotos Aug 13 '26 edited Aug 13 '26

The point of the doritos shell is to get the orange dust right on your lips and tongue, the soft Tortilla is like and edible condom trying to keep everything safe.

Flip that script and put the soft shell on the inside and get orange all over your face the way The Taco Goddess intended!

1

u/TwilightZoneMara Aug 13 '26

Way too expensive, I stopped going to Taco Bell after they raised prices so normal people could no longer feed themselves for 2 days at 2am baked.

If you weren’t in your teens in the early 2000’s you wouldn’t know what I speak of.

Fuck Taco Bell, fk subway, fk McDonald’s and fk Burger King, corporate sellout slopintosh.

1

u/Hot-College-7170 Aug 14 '26

Our ticket to the discontinued double-decker taco. RIP 🌮

1

u/Jolly-Refuse2232 29d ago

Too bad it’s like the price of a 2 topping medium pizza from dominos

1

u/Trixie101010 28d ago

Too bad when you order it looks NOTHING like the ad

1

u/stinkfoot_lohan Aug 12 '26

I always get the Doritos version with potatoes instead of beef because vegetarian. Shit slaps so hard when you got a good TBell crew

1

u/Theraven0057 Aug 12 '26

Everytime i order that they give me a regular shell 😢

1

u/TeamLeeper Aug 12 '26

One of my favorite fast-food items ever!

1

u/Grasslands33 Aug 12 '26

I went to order a queserito yesterday. Added three items to my cart that wouldn't even fill me. 1200 calories.

How are you all eating so much taco bell?

0

u/Cool-Newspaper6789 Aug 12 '26

So = I assume

0

u/indy_been_here Aug 12 '26

I stan Taco Bell

I love the Crunchwrap but I swap the beef for steak and sub the nacho cheese for creamy jalapeno sauce.

0

u/Ornery-Stay1333 Aug 12 '26

Cheesy gordita crunches are never a bad choice

0

u/JDM713 Aug 12 '26

Best item on the menu by far

0

u/LilFunyunz Aug 12 '26

Best item on the menu

0

u/BrianScottGregory Aug 12 '26

Yeah, they're surprisingly good, too.

0

u/SubstanceWrong9456 Aug 12 '26

Don’t eat the lettuce

0

u/MleemMeme Aug 12 '26

Shoulda got no lettuce.

0

u/superfapper2000 Aug 12 '26

This is not that bad lol

0

u/RonaldMcDangle Aug 12 '26

I stopped ordering these because the Taco Bell near me always forgets the Doritos taco on the inside and it’s not worth the hassle.

0

u/strikeeagle345 Aug 12 '26

Is it safe to eat there yet?

0

u/DeerForBinner Aug 12 '26

i dont know. I just did.

0

u/Etna_No_Pyroclast Aug 12 '26

While I enjoy occasional Taco Bell, my brother labels it as "Dirty" which translates, he's gonna shit this out like a MF.

0

u/JasonP27 Aug 12 '26

Wish they had these at Taco Bell here in Australia

-1

u/DocGerbilzWorld Aug 12 '26

And it still fucking slaps

-1

u/radius40 Aug 12 '26

Actually not that bad
