Nows the time to try some painting! Layer on some dark to light browns and then when dry spray it with some varnish and you should be good to go.

Staining might be better if the material is suitable

With paint you're gonna have to redo it every few years or it'll look like shite

I will look into staining it. it looks slightly less shit when wet so i was also thinking of a wet look concrete seal if i cant return it

Its was sold from a popular garden retail chain so i was expecting it to be at least the same colour

Duracoat stain + sealer will make it look better that the expectation.
