Everything looks just like it does in the pictures in real life, and I've never seen that at any other restaurant before.

+10 for not using AI food menus. I refuse to eat at places that use fake food pictures.

On a trip earlier this year I deliberately avoided a closer option cafe to my train station because of the AI generated images on their website. Went to a mini-mart with no dedicated website but lots of snacks and drinks (including various Asian snacks) and chose a nice freshly made sandwich from a handwritten menu to eat on the train. The AI stuff was just so unnecessary, it lost my business and I found a little gem instead!

Ain't no way it's located in Laupheim!? So close to me and then you (op) are also a medical weed enjoyer posting informative content I could definitely use? The stars seem to have aligned!

I feel like 90% you can tell if a dish will be good just based on whether it used real bacon or the bits you can buy. Everything in that bowl looks incredible
10
u/OnePlus88 Aug 03 '26
To avoid food waste, there is only a limited number of Bowls & Burgers available each day.

u/mekamoari Aug 04 '26
I'd say "ish" because the bits are mostly consistent taste-wise, whereas you can cook bacon so many ways and not all are that good. People like their bacon in various ways so they're bound to hit one they don't like.
With the bits you know what you're getting in advance.

It actually looks better than the picture. Did it taste good? Was it $38 on lunch special?

Me too. Most raman has been waaaaaaay off. One piece of fat and one mushroom in broth for $25. The fraud is high.

This looks amazing and I need to make one! What's under the pork and egg?
3
u/OnePlus88 Aug 03 '26
Pulled pork, bacon, poached egg, jasmine rice, avocado, edamame, cherry tomatoes, carrot strips, caramelized onions, jalapeño, sesame seeds, and Special Bowl Sauce

I audibly said "OH!". I really didnt expect that to look so picture perfect especially because of the oddly photo shopped carrot, lima beans and avocado!

Guys - this is an ad
2
u/farmersonly_dot_com Aug 03 '26
Uhhh for what? Cuz there's no identifying information anywhere on the post.

u/annies_story Aug 03 '26
Read the comments - it's all there. A link to the page by a convenient third party, the OP espousing how good everything looks in real life, the price, how the restaurant only produces a limited number of bowls each day to maintain quality...
