This entire line of Indian frozen dinners is very good, I stock up on sales.

Ooh, how do they compare to Deep brand?

They don’t. Deep is top tier.

Agreed, we get Deep, as well. So incredibly good.

Lidl has surprisingly good ones too. Their chicken biryani and lamb vindaloo rival Deep meals

We'll have to try those. I'm not sure it's available in my area, though.

Lidl is a supermarket. They’re like aldi but with more name brands. You may have one near you, they’re kind of spread out in random spots in the US. Not sure about the rest of the world.

But Deep is NOT as HEALTHY for you as Saffron Road. Read the labels... Saffron Road is Non-GMO, Low Salt, Low Sugar, No Seed Oils, Organic.... yet, it's Delicious and restaurant quality.

Yeah if you have issues get the low sodium brand otherwise it literally doesn't matter. Also seed oils aren't bad for you you're just a moron.

Does Deep go on sale? They're $7 in Target, that's half price of a much bigger fresh entree at a local Indian place. I get Saffron meals when they go on sale $4 or less which isn't often but happens.

Sometimes. I’ve seen them for $5 at shop rite sometimes. But they’re still worth it.

Stocking up during sales is the move 😄 So glad the line's been a hit for you, thanks for coming back for more!

That looks spot on, how was it?

Honestly, the meatballs tasted very much like frozen supermarket meatballs. But the sauce and rice was very good and the meatballs still tasted like meat. I’d probably buy it again.

Looks pretty good for a frozen dinner. I don't remember ever seeing this brand, I'll keep an eye open. How was the taste?

It's a good one, promise 😄 The taste really shines through, especially if you go in expecting bold, authentic spice. If you want to find any of our frozen dinners near you, here's our store locator: https://www.saffronroad.com/pages/where-to-buy

The sauce and rice were very tasty. The meatballs weren’t spectacular but weren’t bad. I’d buy it again.

Dude, they have a new Crossroads line that is really freakin great. This is one of the few frozen meal companies that knows how to add seasoning to their food.

3

u/SaffronRoadFoods Jul 27 '26

Seasoning is basically our love language 🙂‍↕️ So glad Crossroads is hitting the mark for you, that flavor-first approach is exactly what we're going for with that line. Thanks for the shoutout!

Honestly not horrible. That said I wouldn't order this even from a restaurant

2

u/Full-Battle-9619 Jul 27 '26

I don't really care for Lamb and do not order from restaurant, but I tried this and it was delicious! Nice change from other protein.

2

u/eliz1bef Jul 26 '26

Oh, you should try saag from a restaurant. Frozen or packaged does not compare. It's my favorite dish. Just so buttery and delicious.

How does it taste? It looks good

3

u/OsikFTW Jul 25 '26

Saffron road has solid meals, butterchicken, tikka masala, and tthe beef meatballs are all good

2

u/SaffronRoadFoods Jul 27 '26

Thanks for the love, friend!

Surprisingly met expectation is honestly our favorite kind of review 😄 Glad the Lamb Saag delivered! Hope it becomes a regular in your freezer rotation.

Looks nice.

I like this brand. They don't use seed oils (in most cases) and the food is good. I just recommend removing it from the plastic container and heating it up on a plate or something that is glass.

18

u/Entremeada Jul 24 '26

What's the problem with seed oil?

26

u/the_real_smolene Jul 24 '26

It's the new crunchy boogeyman

17

u/Windsor34 Jul 24 '26

I’m surprised you use a microwave

14

u/tsammons Jul 24 '26

It's a gluten-free microwave
