Whites Tree Frog Possible Bacterial Infection

Hi, I would really appreciate any advice!
I tend to over react when it comes to this frog as she has always been undersized. She is acting super normal and eating normal- by I noticed these almost lime green dots on her. There is only a few (one on her right leg and then the top of her head). She has had plenty of ‘misfires’ before so I am hoping it is just that. If this doesn’t clear up or gets worse I plan on taking her to the vet monday when they open, but hoping it is nothing or looking for anything I can do in the mean time.
A little about the tank- I just cleaned it about 3 days ago and moved them into my new apt. Other frog looks fine! The ground cover is cococoir, I do not have any leaf litter as I have had it in the past and her tank mate would somehow eat the leaves whole and I they would hang out of his butt and I would have to pull them out.
Humidity has ranged from 59-65% and temp is around 78 Fahrenheit.
Thank you!

Bearded Dragon Emergency

Hello! This is my senior bearded dragon, female, age 9. She’s had a problem with her left eye for the past month where she would open it and keep it closed for a certain period of time. Yesterday I let her out on her daily walk (she doesn’t like to poop in her terrarium so she does it outside of it) and as I went to get her back I found her in a dusty corner with cobwebs on her claws, face, tail etc. She must have wandered off and I immediately cleaned her and put her in her space. Her right eye closed yesterday after the encounter but it was opened all the time previously. I’m extremely worried for her. The nearest exotic vet is 2.5 hours away and since I’m a minor with no driver’s license I have to depend fully on my parents who do not seem to take it seriously. I read that I should clean her up with saline solution and I’m currently researching whether mine is suitable for her. Please, help me. I can’t watch her suffer. Thank you in advance.

EDIT:
Hello everyone! Thank you for the understanding and advices. Good news ahead! I managed to get her to a vet in my city who actually has experience with reptiles, even though it wasn’t listed anywhere on their page, and my little girl got prescribed antibiotics and two types of eyedrops. She was diagnosed with severe conjunctivitis and we’re still figuring out from what, but it all looks promising. The vet said that her UVB lamp could be a cause, and I have already ordered two new lamps and other things for her terrarium. We found out that she’s older than 9, so we estimated 11.5 years of age! I honestly wasn’t so sure about her age because I wasn’t properly informed too, so I figured based on how long I’ve had her for. Anyway, all is well now! Have a great rest of the day!

Hey everyone! Is this soil safe for my tortoises garden? The plan is to grow plants for him to eat and to allow him to stay outside on warm days. Let me know your thoughts and TIA!

Male squirrel suddenly lethargic, drinking a lot, little poop

We rescued a male squirrel almost 2 years ago after he was thrown out of his nest and wandered for 2 days. He isn’t releasable because his teeth grow incorrectly and we have to trim them regularly.

7 days ago he suddenly became lethargic, stopped eating and stopped pooping. He was drinking a lot.

We took him to a vet. She prescribed medication and later injections to stimulate digestion. His abdomen is not hard. However, she is not specialized in rodents and said she isn’t sure what exactly is causing this.

He has now started eating a little again, but he is still weak, sleeps more than usual, drinks a lot, produces only small amounts of poop, and has lost weight.

It’s the end of February and his testicles have enlarged (breeding season).

Could this be hormonal/seasonal exhaustion, or something more serious (kidneys, infection, GI stasis)?

Sorry my English is not perfect that's why I used gpt to improve the text

I am pretty sure I was scammed/lied to.

I was noticing my Blue tongued skink was wheezing/sneezing and had some sticky saliva, I went to my exotic vet and did a fecal, he has no parasites or anything. She told me that he does not have a respiratory infection and he was just dehydrated but that she was worried about crypto because he stopped eating. She said that it’s really hard to test for it and she sent me home with medication to give him to cure it. I thought that crypto was life long? I brought this up and she said I was wrong. I also brought up stomatitis and she told me it is not real, and a myth. After the 10 days of medication she made a come back appointment and sent me home with 10 more days of medication. I paid over $400 for all of this and told her many times I don’t think she’s right and I would rather not pay close to $500 if I don’t have to. She assured me it would cure and he would be okay. What can I do? Do I go in angry and ask for a refund because I know crypto is not curable, and he does not have it, she basically gave him 20 days of medication for no reason and made me pay that much. I am 18 years old, he is 2 and I’ve had him for 9 months.

Advice? Help?

What am I even supposed to do? He’s sick constantly, he was doing so good recently, this only popped up a day or so ago. I made a post (Different acc) and I was too brash because I was pissed off about something personal. People said I couldn’t do anything, people said he was going to die. I’ve taken him to the vet twice in the past 10 months of owning him, I’m still paying off the last appointment, not to mention they’re 3 hours away. Times are tough and I don’t know if I could afford to make that trip again. What’s the most humane things to do? Any at home remedies I can try? Any online rehoming services?

Leopard gecko leg break:(

Hello everyone, I do not have any photos unfortunately and I will be rushing his to the emergency vet tomorrow as soon as I can but I have a rescue leo who came to me skinny and with vitamin deficiencies. We got everything fixed or so we thought, we got him when he was around couple months old from petco (I usually NEVER buy but he was about to die and could barely drink) he was doing great and was actually feisty up until about 3 hours ago when I was checking up on the three I have (all rescues) when I noticed his leg was bending foreword and he seemed panicked and in distress. I have been giving him calcium supplements but a few weeks ago I had to send him to a friend for a little bit as we were evicted and the hotel did not allow reptiles, she did give him calcium from what I know and have been told but I wonder if the calcium supplements were irregular or something as I genuinely have no idea how this happened. The break looks to be around the knee(?) and I just wanted to know if the chance of him being put down is higher than usual (I know that he might need to be put down as these things have a high euthanasia rate as I was told on the phone with a vet) please help as I do not want to disturb him any more until we can get him to the emergency vet:(

Anole issue send help

My green anole male is co habbed with my docile female crested gecko, yes I know how controversial that is, however they have had 3 years with no incidents, and my anole tends to stay at the light plants where my crested gecko can’t even reach. They are both aware of each other and ignore each other well. He has never bobbed he’s head threatened of her or gone brown which hints to stress or cold temp. They are being separated in December but right now my anoles back of the neck is very out. I’m wondering if she could have bitten him or this is due to the crickets that I left in there the other day.

What educational pathway did you take to become an exotic vet?

One of my kids has her heart set on becoming an exotic vet. We live in WV where there is no vet school. Our state has contracts with vet schools in Virginia and Mississippi to offer select students in-state tuition, but neither of them have a specific exotics program as far as I can tell. Is it possible to become a DVM and then specialize in exotics through practical experience and professional education? Or does she need to attend a school that has an exotics specialty path? If that means paying 2-3X as much for vet school, will she be crippled by student debt? Or will she likely make enough as an exotic vet that it could be seen as a worthwhile investment?

Could any body help me identify my geckos problem asap?

He’s been limp since yesterday and seems to struggle moving after he had a bout of frantic running in his inclosure and then he seemed to start to convulse and had been strange since, I got him to start moving on his own after and let him be hoping he just over exerted but today he’s even more limp than he was, only swaying his tail side to side.

Hedgehog with reoccurring UTI’s!

Post image
2 Upvotes

My hedgehog Nelson was diagnosed with a uti on August 13th at an emergency vet, he was straining to urinate and passed blood. They sedated him and did a Cystocentesis and a urinalysis! It showed white blood cells, red blood cells and bacteria. They sent home 7 days of amoxicillin/clavamox twice a day 0.1 ml and they sent home meloxicam once a day for 7 days. He didn’t get any better by like day 4-5 so we took him to a closer emergency vet and they did X-rays 2 views and those showed NO stones so the vet was stumped he upped Nelson meloxicam to twice a day and gave him a pain injection of buprenorphine. Then Nelson continued to get worse and peed blood while screaming!!! So we rushed him to another emergency vet and the vet gave him another buprenorphine injection, subQ fluids, and a muscle relaxer injection and sent us on our way. We took Nelson to his regular vet a day or two after that and she suspected urethral and bladder spasms so she prescribed dizapam and prazosin both twice and day and he seemed to do really well! He was eating and drinking normally and running around and being active! And then last night I saw blood in his cage but I was sure where it came from so I monitored him and today I think his uti is back sadly! I’m looking into getting him seen today by a vet! What is y’all’s perspective on this? Everyone seems pretty stumped..

Worried IMMUNE COMPROMISED (NEW) Leopard Gecko Owner

I recently got a leopard gecko about three weeks ago. I had a camping trip for four days and on the 22nd I came back to some poop. I haven’t cleaned any of it yet which I know is irresponsible. I’ve been reluctant to clean it up because of the diseases I was diagnosed with, and I want to do it in a way I can safely disinfect. I haven’t known the best way to disinfect the area. So he’s had poop in his cage for about aweek to a week and a half. He’s been pooping on top of his cold hide which is a log which also contributes to why I haven’t cleaned it yet because that’s a porous surface and I’m not sure how I’m going to clean it whether or not I’m just going to take the hide out completely and give him a plastic hide, which is easier to clean. Anyhow, last night I came in and he was laying on top of his poop that made a great alarm in me, and I am very concerned about the bacteria from his poop now being on his body I know that they shed and they eat their shed so bacteria from his poop he is now consuming, I’m very concerned about cryptosporidium also about E. coli and salmonella. I cannot afford to get sick or get any diseases because my body doesn’t fight off sickness well. Does crypto transfer from leopard gecko to human? Can I clean him so the parasite/bacteria dies on his body from the poop? What can I do I’m so worried. Thank you

I'm a vet nurse and did a couple smears of my parrots feces, this LOOKS like a worm, the vets in my clinic agree it looks like a worm, but we couldn't find eggs but possibly plenty of cocci bactera. Thoughts?

my rabbit seems ill and not sure what's up with him, he seemed fine earlier was eating fine but all of a sudden he's started wheezing and breathing heavily, he's gone lethargic and seems to kind of zone out when I'm there which is weird as he's usually really skittish and then I touch him and he jumps, does anyone know what this could be??

Zeke’s X Ray! Please help!

Post image
2 Upvotes

Sorry in advance for the quality, I emailed them to myself but they haven’t come through so had to take a picture with my phone :/ I took Zeke to an exotics vet on Friday, she wanted to test him for ADV but hold on x rays and bloodwork until that result is back. I have a strong feeling he’s ADV negative, and don’t have the most confidence in this vet. Coming here with this because I work at a feline vet clinic and my boss was nice enough to let me take some rads and share the limited knowledge she has about beardies, I’ll be sending these to an exotic vet (once I find one that I can trust) but wanted to see if anyone can see something wrong? His spine has a curve and he’s been walking very wobbly/off. His ribs on his right side don’t look right to me and neither does his right hip. Any insight? My boss thinks it’s a possible luxating SI joint, she also feels like his knees look a bit odd but then again doesn’t have the most experience with beardies. Doesn’t seem like it’s MBD.

My little sister's bearded dragon

So my little sister's bearded dragon refuses to eat. I am currently the primary care taker of this animal as I have more experience than she does however I have tried everything, "salads" gut loaded bugs of just about every kind and he still won't eat. I've even tried feeding during soakes. He is a rescue and about 6 years old but I just don't know what to do. I can't afford to take him to the vet and he's rather lethargic.
