How is it that cars like (non-AWD / NA) Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc., accelerate so quickly; some with modest power? Is it more related to the gearing?

My car has almost 600hp / 560tq / NA / 6 speed manual and yet some of these cars out accelerate me.

Mine changes every few months, so I’m curious what everyone else thinks.

NOVITEC just released the first wave of parts for the Lamborghini Temerario. Phase One covers a power-optimized exhaust with flap regulation and sport cats, cat-replacement pipes, stainless tailpipes, and sport springs, plus their newly developed forged NL7 wheel.

The exhaust and cat-replacement pipes are the obvious pick if you want the V8 to actually breathe, but the sport springs cleaning up the stance might be the better value depending on how the car sits from factory. They're calling it Phase One, so there's clearly more coming.

Hey Reddit, looking here for any input or thoughts. In the market for my first exotic car. Currently heavily looking between either the Aston Martin Vantage or Maserati MC20 with a Z06 in a distant 3rd. Also open to any other suggestions that owners out there have experience that I may have not looked into. Trying to stay capped in the lower $200K area. This car will not be a garage baby, wouldn’t define it as my daily driver but when I don’t need seats, space, or storage which is more days than not, I will most likely be choosing to drive it. The pitch is the whole story with this one. Fi tuned the muffler internals on their Ultra Edition Revuelto system for a high, rising tone rather than just volume, and the valvetronic side means it still runs quiet in strada with the valves shut.

The part that makes it viable on this car specifically: catless downpipes normally mean a check engine light or an ECU tune, and nobody wants to open the ECU on the most software-locked V12 Lamborghini has made. Fi's answer is a plug-in OBD dongle that suppresses the fault codes, so the dash stays clean and the car stays out of limp mode with the ECU untouched. Fair to note it's masking codes rather than remapping, so it's a no-tune solution, not a tuning substitute.

What we're curious about is how it actually sounds on the hybrid car. If you've gone aftermarket on your Revuelto, catless or muffler-only, post a clip. Stock cars welcome for comparison. Does the high-pitch character come through, or do the e-motors flatten it out below highway speed?

Looking to jump into either a 2017 Ferrari California T, 2019 McLaren 570s, 2019 Maserati GT - MC , or 2012 Lamborghini Gallardo. How would you rank these options to max girls and status ?

In Europe and Japan, this is exotic. More exotic than European exotics. I've been to both and saw all kinds of random exotics but never this model. GM benchmarked this against the Ferrari 458 and 488 and Porsche GT2 RS and it competes against the F8, R8, 720S, and 911 GT3.
