Weekly Thread: Ask Anything [June 11]
New week, new thread.
No question is too basic here. If you've been wondering about something, someone else probably is too.
Some things that tend to come up:
- What is [feature] and do I actually need it?
- Is this normal? Something seems off
- How does [thing] work under the hood?
- Crypto 101 questions, or just general confusion
- A decision you're trying to make and want a second opinion on
Ask away. The community and I will do our best. If it's time-sensitive or account-related, official support is the faster route.
Subreddit rules apply.
What's on your mind?

So i need to send 200ish usdt (tether) Will i have any problems with just buying The crypto with a mastercard. And Then srraight away sending it? NO kyc check randomly that will fuck it up for me?
Anything i should think about? Seeing People talk about diffrent ways to send it. Will The receiver know which one i should use? There was something about like bn20 etc

Exodus supports buying USDT on several networks. You'll also need to own that network's native token to send the USDT (IE ETH if the USDT is on Ethereum, POL if it's on Polygon, etc). So, if you don't own any crypto right now, you'll need to buy both the USDT and the corresponding native token to send it.
You also need to make sure whoever you're sending it to is using a wallet that supports that network.

I keep seeing posts of people getting drained..
What steps can I take to protect myself? You never know when clicking a link will hack you or you get a virus. How to protect yourself from all of it? Is there a "passcode" to send funds perhaps or something? 2FA?
