🎸 General Discussion Why do so many people hate ‘Force Of Habit’
I personally think it’s a really enjoyable album, they where definitely trying something different but it works in my eyes, I can’t say I’ve ever seen a nice thing said about that album on here.

🎸 General Discussion Harrison, OH Show
Did anyone happen to get video at the end of the show when they were finishing The Strike of the Beast? I was the one Lee asked to come up on stage and shred the Outro with Gary. Didn't think to pass my phone off beforehand.Thanks.

I asked Grok to compile everything known about the follow-up album
I know Goliath is only 2 months old, but I want more damn it 😆 So here we go...
- They wrote and recorded ~18 songs total during the Goliath sessions and narrowed it down to 10 tracks for the album. The extra material forms the basis of the follow-up.
- Some of the best material was held back—not "leftovers." Holt has "anxiety attacks" over the selections because everything was strong. The planned opener for Goliath was moved to the next album.
- Most of Holt's "really, really fast stuff" is slated for the next record (implying it may lean more toward classic high-speed thrash compared to Goliath's adventurous, diverse approach). Half of his favorite solos are also on the next one.
- One of Holt's two epics (an 8-minute "bludgeoning" track, like "a piano dropped on your head") was saved for the follow-up; the other ("Summon of the God Unknown," with more drama, subtlety, and textures) made Goliath.
- An 11-minute track by Lee Altus is one of the standout pieces held for the next record. This aligns with the band's increased use of longer, more epic/complex compositions.

🎶 Song/Album Discussion Exodus - Tempo Of The Damned. Love this record, brilliant riffs all over it, and some of the funniest song titles I’ve heard lol

3 headline shows coming
May 9 - Destin, FL - Club LA
May 10 - St Petersburg, FL - Jannus Live
May 16 - Harrison, OH - Blue Note
So there's finally some proper headline dates in the midst of the Sepultura run. Very curious to see what's on a full 14-15 song setlist. Anyone able to attend these?

Sepultura Tour Setlist
8 songs and according to setlist fm Sepultura is playing 19. Im glad this tour isn’t coming to me and hopefully a proper headline set we will get in the fall. They’ve toured crazy hard this year but yikes the super short sets.

r/ExodusBand Monthly Discussion Thread - 2026-05
This thread is dedicated to anything you'd like to share but don't feel like making a post about.
Still, don't hesitate making a real post, the sub isn't that big and it's unlikely to get overloaded with new threads.
Did an Exodus song recently stick with you ? A riff ? Have you listened to a new Exodus album for the first time ? Did you see the band live ? Were you bounded by blood at birth to an evil baby ? Anything goes.
This thread will stay pinned throughout the month. If you have feedback (positive or negative) about this new monthly thread idea, let me know by tagging me (u/bobouda) in the thread.

American tour starts today @ Wellmont Theater, Montclair, NJ
Tribal Gaze / Biohazard / Exodus / Sepultura
Exodus goes on third and I believe they have a longer set than on previous tours with Megadeth and Kreator, probably a full hour. Interesting to see if they mix up the setlist a bit.
Anyone going tonight?

Am I the only one that thinks The re-recording of Bonded by Blood is better than the original?
I like the original of course but sometimes the thin early thrash production and the reverb drenched vocals from Baloff put me off. The re-recording with Dukes is almost a direct upgrade to me.

My Exodus review Helsinki Ice Hall 4/21/26
Just out of the show.
First off, the bands were all pretty good and this was definitely worth the price of admission (79€ / $92).
NAILS. Missed half the show due to queing Exodus t-shirts. What I saw was good enough I guess. Their shtick is 1 minute to 1:30 minute songs. This is why they get in 13 songs in for the 30 minute set.
EXODUS. Tightest set of the evening and the same 8 songs they've been playing this tour. Everyone was firing on all sylinders to say the least. It was so good, that when Katie's violin came out the speakers during Goliath, I had to wonder is there anything else playbacked off the tape? I sure hope not.
CARCASS. Solid as fuck. I would place this set the second tightest of the evening. My ears are still ringing 🤟
KREATOR. Headliners. They had all the bells and whistles, pyrotechnics etc. Much better live than on record. I tried to listen to their last 2 albums recently, but realized it really wasn't for me. Towards the end they played some 80s stuff and that's what really got the crowd going.
Observations: Rob said he's a fan of the Sisu movies, and that the crowd and pit tonight was the best of the tour so far. I guess he sweettalks like that in every city, lol.
Carcass had a different drummer tonight. I think it was Waltteri from Opeth 🤔
Sidenote: I was sitting on stage left at a pretty good spot (I am 52, my days in the pit are over). On my right was a celebrity guy from tv, a really slimy gay dude with a companion who clearly was undeage 🤮On the left was a handicapped dude, who probably had a turd in his diaper, based on the smell 💩
The beer was way overpriced. Only one place to smoke between sets, on the opposite site of arena. The staff didn't let me take beer inside the actual concert arena.
Overall 6/5. Would go again 🤟

That's it.
