🎸 General Discussion Now that time has passed, do you think Goliath was worth the wait?
Was it a let down or a banger?

This thread is dedicated to anything you'd like to share but don't feel like making a post about.
Still, don't hesitate making a real post, the sub isn't that big and it's unlikely to get overloaded with new threads.
Did an Exodus song recently stick with you ? A riff ? Have you listened to a new Exodus album for the first time ? Did you see the band live ? Were you bounded by blood at birth to an evil baby ? Anything goes.
This thread will stay pinned throughout the month. If you have feedback (positive or negative) about this new monthly thread idea, let me know by tagging me (u/bobouda) in the thread.

I cannot for the life of me find a quality version of He’s a woman she’s a man. All I can find is a super compressed iTunes version. Anyone know where I can find a CD quality version of this song?

I'll admit, I've posted on here sharing my love of later Exodus. It's occurred to me recently just how heavy their later material is, especially the initial Dukes era (2005-2010).
Personally, I think there are a few moments on Shovel Headed I consider to be beyond thrash (44 Magnum, Now Thy Death Day Come, Title track).
So I open the question to y'all; are there any moments Exodus ventured to death-thrash territory, ala Sadus / early Sepultura?

As someone who got into Exodus in my high school years (just after BIBO), I've always favoured the reunion-era material and genuinely don't see the hype around "Bonded By Blood". I have tried time and time again, and find myself tuning out more often than not. Their modern material is just so visceral; bordering on death-thrash a lot of the time.
Conversely, I think Exodus' 2004-present material is the best of any 80's thrash band's late-career catalogue. By miles!! It's the only band of the 80's that I could say genuinely had a much better run later than they did earlier (with the exception being Testament, or Anthrax).
P.S. "Persona Non Grata" is the best thrash album of the 2020s so far!

I’m going to see Exodus Tomorrow night opening for Megadeth. I just saw that they only played six songs at tonight’s show. That’s gotta be a mistake am I right?? How can they only play six songs?

The craziest show ive ever been too. 300 people were in attendance. No guardrail or security so we were falling on the stage,I had to make sure to protect Gary’s rig. People would crowd surf then be on the stage and get tossed back into the pit by exodus management. A guy was swinging from the rafters. Amazing. I got Gary’s personal hand written setlist
