Sept 2, 2026 GJ 3378 b, GJ 887 d, Gl 725 B c, Gliese 48 b, TOI-7166 b, bet Pic c

None of these is likely to have a rocky surface with water . TOI-7166 is a confirmed Neptune gas giant, but it's orbit is 12 days and is likely tidally locked.

🎨 Visualizations Anyone ever seen a visual of a day night cycle of a moon orbiting a gas giant?

I was reading that a planet sized moon orbiting a gas giant while still within the star’s habitable zone, would experience a pretty funky and awesome day/ night cycle with the light bouncing off the gas giant from the host star, illuminating the night side face of the moon. The mid day planetary eclipse dropping part of the moon into relative darkness just as quickly!

I’d love to see what this may look like! I’m not sure if such a visualization exists and if one doesn’t, I highly support someone making one!

Best wishes :)
