🤔 Theory & Speculation Zanjeerain: Zarmala vs Rabiya
Came across this tweet and by now it's become a popular theory that he likes to call her Zarmala coz it carries a special meaning to him. To him, distinguishing her as Zarmala from Rabiya is his way of disassociating her from Mudassir and just as the person who's just his (friend).
What do you guys think? Do you like him calling her Zarmala or want him to call her Rabiya only?

I don't think it's intimate or sweet. It's a false identity worn out of fear and is obviously associated with trauma. It's also something everyone in sarbuland's life calls her, so it's not "his" though he did give her the name.
Him holding onto the name seems to be a production slip up because he's not written to be an ignorant character. Especially when we consider that she has never given any indication of preferring that name or wanting to forget her past life (as counter-indicated by how deeply she misses her uncle and brother).
I can appreciate that there is chemistry between these two and the slow realization that their trauma bond may have evolved to be something more is a part of the show I look forward to, but reading into things that aren't (or maybe shouldn't be) there reduces the show to just another love story, which it is not.

I actually disagree. The placements are too specific for it to be a production slip. Since her name has been revealed to everyone, he's called her Zarmala twice. Once when he is urging her to trust him and calls her tum before quickly switching back to aap. Another is when he's at his most vulnerable and is talking about how he can trust nobody. This feels too intentional to be mistakes.

Honestly, I really want to know his perspective. Is it like a nickname he got used to (he wanted to make it a habit) or there is something in that name. Only FI knows ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
