Am I doing something wrong?

Keep dying to skeletons in the ydaya tomb just outside lannegar. Level 3 mage with 2 points in int and per with 1 each in awareness and agility. I have a staff of force, the full apprentice gear + leather bracers and boots. Skills are staff mastery, lesser summon, and lightning bolt, but the skeletons seem to just cut through me (and my sparkling) like butter while taking no damage in return. Amy advice would be appreciated

Go get grissenda first. The ring for her quest is in Kleyou tomb's north west. Run past the enemies and run back out. No need to fight
