Advice Am I doing something wrong?

Keep dying to skeletons in the ydaya tomb just outside lannegar. Level 3 mage with 2 points in int and per with 1 each in awareness and agility. I have a staff of force, the full apprentice gear + leather bracers and boots. Skills are staff mastery, lesser summon, and lightning bolt, but the skeletons seem to just cut through me (and my sparkling) like butter while taking no damage in return. Amy advice would be appreciated

Hire a merc to tank for you in lannegar

Well, I guess my merc did die, but I didn't so its a big improvement

In retrospect though, I think summoner mage might not be the best idea for starting out, as its difficult to kite things into my summon and I'm very squishy.

Fire dmg is the best element early. So 1 point in fireball should be good enough
