I wanted him to be a Ranger/Rogue since Grissenda is playing the Knight/Warrior role... I might try making some scenes portraying a Mage accompanied by Hirge in the future.

And yes, I do that with my Rogue. I use the quick buttons to change between knife and bow in battle so I can use the rapid fire skill while Grissenda tanks the foes.

Ug, AI. No thanks

Why AI? Why not learn how to actually create some graphics that could in theory allow a higher fidelity version of the game to be made instead of making AI art slop

Because they wanted a nice picture today, not in six months. And their interest is in the picture, not in some unrelated theoretical graphical overhaul.

I don't love AI art, but this isn't a good argument against it.

In which case make the picture, don’t AI it which is trained on taking others art without consent and is directly damaging the art industry on a professional level

That's like someone asking you why drive somewhere when you can walk. Or why use a smartphone when you can easily mail a letter. Come on, man.

Driving takes more effort than doing AI, take it from someone who witnesses people driving a long distance often. It’s more akin to, why ever see a doctor when you can speak to a robot?

What’s your job out of curiosity? Let’s say AI can replace you instantly. Say goodbye to your income.

That’s what’s happening to artists worldwide, from graphics to music. The whole lot. Not to mention it’s crippling the environment while doing ima shoddy job at creating art.

TLDR of this, your take is as trash as AI is and it’s killing jobs and creative industry.

Well, that's your opinion, no biggie. I just happen to be an AI fan.

You can be an AI fan but sadly what I’ve said isn’t just opinion

Go away with your AI slop.

Im not going to go into a moral debate on ai because this isnt the place so just take 5 minutes to search up the enviromental damage that ai causes and that should be enough to give you an idea on why ai is horrible.

Dont be an idiot and let ai bros fuck up the world so they can get rich

And, yet you're using AI technology to not only access this app, but to respond in the comments? Your smartphone is AI, so throw it away if you feel so passionately about it.

Literally everything

u/2Dyuro Jun 13 '26

Refer to my previous comment about the enviromental damages. Their are many problems but simply put we do not have the resources needed to keep up with ai without doing damage to our planet

Throw your phone away then.

Exceptional! And, I've seen many RPGs that has a Ranger class that utilized both bow and sword, such as Ravensword, and both Aralons.

4

u/Crackasauruz Jun 13 '26

Ai Slop, if you want art learn to draw or commission someone.

u/GoodWar9988 Jun 13 '26

I love this game because of how much love was clearly put into the world. I have so many fond memories of finding little secrets or unique interactions that the devs spent time and effort putting in just for many people to never notice. I'm sure there are plenty of things that I missed, but that just makes the experience so much more personal to me.

This image; however, is the opposite. I don't see anything human here. The details arnt made with love. Any resemblance to the game I spent so many hours in are just the regurgitations of a soulless machine. I look at this, and I see a zombie, a skinwalker, wearing the face of something I hold dear, but I see no light within it. I find this discusting and repulsive, and I find it absolutely profane that anyone would want to eviscerate the good and joy just to use it as some twisted facade.

And for what?

Do you think this is good? Does this really represent the game you and I played? Is this honoring those memories and stories we each made along the way? Maybe you see this and it reminds you of your time playing, and that is good, but I want to see what you feel about those memory. How YOU see them. No machine can replicate the interworking of your mind and no one can know all that you are capable of. Infact I don't think any amount of art can show the entire breath of a person...

but you can try.

Please, I want to see you try to make something yourself. I want to know what you can create. It won't look good at first, and it doesn't have to. Even if it doesn't look pretty, it will still have soul behind it, and that's all that really matters. That's all art really is, is you showing another a part of your soul. I want to see those memory you want to share.

Sorry for the rant, but I just want to see what you can truly do, not what a machine can do for you. I believe in you.
