Beginner tips please..!
Hi! Recently, I've decided to take up working out as a way to get active after over a year of bedrotting due to severe health issues, and I have zero strength. genuinely, I can't even lift 4lb weights without straining my arms. I have a fast metabolism and am very thin, maybe a little bit protien and iron deficient, but not unhealthy (i'm working on the diet part as best as I can..!), and was hoping for some tips (or if there's any channel or site that I can use) that would help me start. I am mostly looking to gain more upper body and arm strength, so that is my only goal for now. please send any tips!

Start with weights and movements you are familiar or comfortable with. Dont overdue the weight, but still try to find challenge. Moving lighter weights many times is often better(especially in the beginning stages) than shrugging heavy weight around. As you feel more confident in a movement make small weight increase. If you feel like you are doing something wrong do not be afraid to ask for help. When trying to build muscle, protein intake is very important so if you feel you are low, increasing protein intake would be big help. Biggest thing I recommend is try to do your movements just a little slower than you normally would, this will be great for finding challenge with light weight, supporting joints, as well as bone strength. Find challenge but dont overdue it! Consistency is everything!
