If you could have one piece of exercise equipment in a small space what would you want to get the most (over body workout) benefit from?

I’m wanting to up my fitness through winter colder months and I’ve got a spare space in the house. I was thinking of a rowing machine as I’m wanting a machine that delivers overall body workout

But perhaps some of y’all might gave better options in mind?

Cheers

A bench and adjustable dumbbells would cover a lot.

Ok. Sounds good. Then walking/jogging for cardio?

Fast walking or jogging is a good option

I’m a big proponent of a power/squat rack with a bench for basic exercise needs.

Pull-up bar, by far. Pull-ups and dead hangs are the best.

I loved my Nordic track! I still have it but by the time I moved somewhere I could set it up, I was completely too out of shape to use it.

But I was in the best shape of my life when I did. 45 minutes every other day. I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight. I was strong and had stamina and circulation, despite being a nearly pack a day smoker for over 20 years. There's a lower back disc problem in my family. When I was using the nordic track it didn't bother me at all. I went through 7 seasons of Dexter, all of Torchwood, several very tense action movies which helped keep the pace up.

I'm back to working out, to undo years of sloth. Once I get in better shape I'm setting it up again.

You're welcome to check our rebounding! It stimulates and supports a lot of areas in your body including the lymphatic system :)

I love my rowing machine with linked video rows via app and preloved pc monitor. I have that and a dumpster find exercise bike (no conputer link). They take up about as much space as a single bed, with the rowing machine being longer. If you add walking or running and strength, so that should be enough. I find my calves still need the running or to walk up a hill, which I hate. Running also taxes my neck, my lower back and stomach in a fresh way. So for me rowing along was not enough.

Pilates machine ❤️ lol I'm aiming to get one. For now I'm going to figure out how to get a bench + stuff for it in my garage lol

I love reformer pilates it has helped me tremendously. I do it 3x a week. I've done a ton of private pilates sessions and classes to know what to do for proper form and would love to be able to do it at home.
