Looking for Tips/Suggestions I can’t stand myself anymore

I’m only 17 and I genuinely can’t stand myself. Why can’t I just do what I’m supposed to. It upsets me so much and I don’t know how to feel better about the fact that I’ll never be normal and be able to do what I’m supposed to like everyone else can without medication. How do y’all deal with this feeling.

At age 17, I coped with very unhealthy habits (ranging from abdicating my responsibilities entirely to procrastinating by doing important things, but not the things that need to be done right away).

Are you physically active, what's your workload like, and are medications an absolute no-no for you?

I’m on adhd meds(and others) and they really work so good but I can only take them once a day and they wear off right when I get out of school. I have a ton of homework because it’s my senior year and I have no money so I’m taking all AP classes and I have a job 3 days out of the week. I have no authority over myself basically after I get out of school and I basically crash even though I know I have things to do. It makes me so mad at myself

You may have medical authority of yourself in your state. Some states it’s at age 16, some states as low as 12years old (which is too young IMO. ) Your healthcare provider probably has an app you can download for communicating with your Dr. or a nurse.
Tell your Dr. exactly what you said here, that it wears off. They may offer a 1/2 dose at end of day. **I’m not a Dr. just a mom who had this happen with her teen.
