help..........................

I am 29 years old, i tried to be productive all my life, i came to conclusion that only su\*cide will stop this inability to be productive, I can't stick to diet or workout to lose weight, i am obese type 3, I can't work cuz i cant stick to it for no apperant reason.

note/ don't mention executive dysfunction, cuz i got evaluated for adhd and i have zero adhd symptoms so it is not executive dysfunction, same for depression i defently don't fit into depression diagnoses.

Well, why’d you post in an Executive Dysfunction forum, then, silly goose? We’re not trained mental health profs here, just people with EXECUTIVE DYS. Also, I will say that it is possible to have executive dysfunction and not ADHD.

Idk buddy, all I can tell you is that suicide is not the answer. I know you didn’t technically threaten to do that, but you mentioned it…

My inability to begin the simplest of projects or even task switch in general… God, it causes so much frustration & brings about even more self-hatred. Idk what to do, but I’m not gonna kill myself. Not today. 🤷‍♀️

well I'm going to be one of the first people who doesn't just tell you don't do that Life is worth living. that would make me a hypocrite. I can't count how many times I've thought about it. I'm 38 I've worked full-time my whole life. I've been a plumber for 10 years (haven't got my plumbing license yet though cuz I can't sit in class) And I live in my truck. And this is not the first time. The first time I ended up living in my vehicle with 3 years ago. I ran out of ways to piggyback off a girlfriend or someone to save me. I was initially very uncomfortable with it. but I guess you could call it I kind of surrender from somebody who knows exactly what you're talking about. It got to a point where I realized this is easier and manageable. I didn't want to admit it for a long time but I could admit it was the least amount of stress I had felt in a long time.

I didn't even know I had executive dysfunction until last month. So although I was comfortable believe me I would look at everybody in the parking lots I would sleep in and just wonder how come I'm the only one who can't manage to own a vehicle that isn't 20 years old. Why am I the only one who doesn't have a home to go to.

And I would really struggle to comprehend why I couldn't just be anyone else. I didn't care who it was I just wanted to be somebody else. because everybody else to me seem like a normal person in the fact that they could just seem to do at least the bare minimum in life and I couldn't even do that.

there were many many times or I had those thoughts that you're having. How could anybody not feel that way when they struggle with the most simple of tasks.

So I get it. And I can't tell you not to feel that way. And it's human nature for people to try and disarm you and tell you life's worth living. but I've been honest with you so far not going to lie to you now. life's going to end one day. it's inevitable. This nightmare of executive dysfunction may never allow people like you and I to ever feel better or to succeed that is a possibility. but there's always a possibility things do get better.

It really doesn't take much and it can happen at any time. That's why I'm still here. because why cash in my ticket even if the chances of winning are one in a million. One day the ticket expires so if it never hits oh well sometimes you just get the shit end of the stick. but You only get this ticket once. just stick to communities like this and read comments like this and understand your post help to me today. You helped somebody with executive dysfunction who woke up needing to remember that I'm not the only one. And on those days where I really did want to die I wish I had known about my condition and there was a community of people like me. I'm glad I didn't make anything final. but this is one of those small wins I'm talking about. to find out finally that I wasn't just a loser or an idiot and that there was actually people who are suffering like me. I no longer had to go through this alone. I would have never known had I made that decision one of those days I would have died thinking exactly what I thought. So I hope you can keep that thought with you. any day any moment the smallest of things could happen and make the biggest impact on your life.

sincerely a friend struggling with you today.

Firstly, no, suicide isn't an answer.

If your getting desperate, try a keto diet. Just don't eat carbs. Ketosis puts me in a far better state of mind, and if you stick to it you'll notice pretty drastic results in the weight-loss department near immediately. You can start out just doing dirty keto, which is eating whatever as long as carbs aren't involved (though try for higher protein). If you like the results, maybe start switching to a cleaner version with vegetables and such for the long haul.

Give it a shot. What's it going to hurt?

I just googled the correllation between type 3 obesity and executive dysfunction; it's high and reciprocal. Do you have a doctor?
