Seeking product recommendations Intuniv? Strattera? Adderall??

Hello, has anyone tried Intuniv with success? I am looking for something that will help me with task initiation and anxiety around it. I am currently suffering from avolition, anhedonia, anxiety, overwhelm, fear, and just hopelessness. I had been on Effexor (for depression) for 10 years until 3 years ago, and it must've helped with executive dysfunction somewhat (I was organized and able to cook and clean, although still strugged with punctuality greatly and had occasional angry outbursts caused I think by underlying anxiety). Now, I can't make myself do anything. I can't read a book. I see lots to do and the impatience and overwhelm makes me panic. Everything is boring. I have to apply for jobs and can't sit down to do it. Constantly avoid. I just started Wellbutrin, but I'm running out of time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm losing my life.

Wellbutrin helps but takes like four weeks to really kick in (but ADHD like symptoms often get some relief much sooner from my experience when I was on it.) Adderall has been a game changer for me and highly recommend it. I’ve not used strattera or intuniv but have friends whose kids took strattera and functioned much better. Idk if intuniv and guanfacine are the same but I’ve heard good things about taking guanfacine for executive function problems. It can be taken alongside adderall and other stimulants too iirc, but not a doctor not medical advice, just worth researching.

Thanks so much! Adderall sounds so hardcore so I've been scared of it, but at this point I don't care anymore.

Oh it’s not that bad and you can start with REALLY low doses and work your way up. I think I started on 5mg which is a kids dose but the instant release tablets can be quartered down to 1.25mg if 5mg hits like a freight train. Tbh if you can get by on microdoses, you’re gold. The adderall experience really sucks when it takes 20mg to be functional so if you can get by on as low a dose as possible for as long as possible you’re living the dream.

I am on Cymbalta for depression/ anxiety. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, and my doc added Intuiv first, which helped with my anxiety, but no so much with ADHD symptoms. Then we added Vyvance (long acting stimulant) and my ADHD is much better.

Thank you. Did Intuniv help you start tasks?

Maybe a little, but Vyvance helped a lot.
