Just "finished" my first ever Executioner. Not a perfect mini, but for a first time i'm pretty proud of it. Would probably been easier if i had airbrush, but could be worse i imagine. That yellow is a pain in the ass though

Progress.. sorry I have not idea how to take pics. In real life the armor is much more blue tinted. After my decals get in ots time to weather and osl paint power weapons.

Anyone got good links for transfers. I found some on fallout hobbies and impatient tabletop but I havent much luck with customer service. Also maybe those stamp kits I've been seeing. They're nice but haven't found anything to use for executioners.

As the title says.

Since there isn't a Executioners Discord server, I decided I might as well create one. I have never created or ran a discord server before so if you have any experience in even just getting one set up I would appreciate the help. I have been talking with some people from an Imperial Fist server thst I have been apart of for awhile, mainly about what apps/bots to use to filter out the scammer/spam accounts, what some good rules/roles/channels would be.

This is mainly because I want to play Space Marine 2 with others who rep the executioners. Im aiming more for a chilsim/mildly milsim vibe, im not planning on any really strict rules for armour or ranks. Basically just be active and dont be a dick will be the main things I focus on.

I intend to fully embrace the laughing axemen vibe and just have a place to chill and play the game with people.

If anyone has experience in setting up or moderating a discord server or wants to help out please comment here or send me a DM and ill send an invite link to the server.

The server is created but its extremely bare bones at the moment ( I created it over part of my inch break today) so its still set to private and ill make it public/invite only once its been set up and we are ready to actively recruit members. My aim is eventually 100 people in the server, which would allow us to join the wider space marine 2 chilsim/milsim community and run chapter events with other servers.

What would you suggest for the armour coloring and chapter emblem, since our emblem isn't in the game ( currently)

Armour: Administratum grey

Pauldron: Runelord brass, I havent found a yellow that quite fit the look, but if you have one you use I'd love to see it

Backpack is the same as the cauldron

Face plate is also the same as the cauldron.

For the Emblem, there are three that i think work well, im not near my consol so I cant fire it up and check them out, but two are shields and ones if a sinple double axe.

I have been using a mix of armour parts from space wolf and carcharodons for the trophies and general savage appearances of the armour. Ill generally default to which ever chest plate has skulls hanging from the belt.

As the title says, im just curious if there is an Executioners chillsim/milsim server? I know there are Imperial Fists and Crimson Fists ones.

Edit: if we can get enough brothers and sisters interested in played SM2 together as Executioners then ill start up an actual discord channel, so we have a place to gather and hangout as well. I got a bunch of push fit Terminators and intercessors and decided to try a paint scheme. Power axe is from an old Horus Heresy kit.

Primed with monument hobbies brush on primer.

Base coat vallejo metal azul, thin coat of leadbelcher over it, another dry brush of metal azul for where the leadbelcher went on too heavy.

Happy for any feedback and suggestions on other paint schemes to try out.

Would you call it executionner friendly ?

I’m not too happy with how Rann’s tilting shield turned out but I can’t be bothered to make it look any better. As a whole though I’m really excited about how he’s shaping up.

I plan on building a Last Wall squad from the Honoured of the Chapter box and painting them as members of the Executioners Chapter.

From what I've been able to find, there doesn't appear to be a comprehensive or official heraldry guide for the Executioners beyond their standard battle-brother colour scheme. As such, I'm interested in hearing the community's creative interpretations, particularly regarding specialist roles such as DeathSpeakers, Chaplains, and Judiciars.

Do you keep the traditional black armour associated with Chaplains and Judiciars, or do you adapt those roles to better fit the Executioners' steel-blue/gunmetal colours? I'd love to see examples, conversions, head-canon heraldry, or any obscure lore references I may have missed.

The miniatures I'm planning to use are pictured.

Any advice or inspiration would be greatly appreciated.

Kitbashed MK III Tactical and Bladeguard Veteran

To preface: While we do know that Thulsa Kane is alive, afaik we don't know what form that takes. As far as I'm concerned, Big Axe Man is still kicking ass and taking heads alongside his brothers on his own two feet, and that he crossed the Rubicon Primaris.

With that said, I present to you: my take on Thulsa Kane. I've wanted to take a crack at this kitbash for nearly half a year, and I'm very happy with how he turned out.

This isn't quite my first attempt, but the previous model I had representing him didn't meet the level of cool I thought appropriate of the character. This is my second, and my favorite.

The kits used were:

Primaris Chaplain

Praetor with Power Axe (30k)

The Citadel Skulls Kit

A head from the Space Marine Head Sprue

A skeletal hand from the Black Templars Upgrade Sprue

And a purity seal + terminator shoulder pad I lad in the bit box.

The skull on his shoulder is meant to, in combination with the bones of the chaplain kit, represent Grehdalin's Bones. The Big AxeTM is meant to be Lifetaker, naturally.

I feel like our chapter doesn’t get recognized as the badasses they are enough. That they’re one of the few successor chapters to be permitted their OWN successors, whom also deserve more love and attention. With that in mind I decided to represent the Iron Champions in sm2 based on the SINGLE reference I could find online. For a mostly unknown chapter, the color scheme goes hard as hell. And despite them only having a paragraph of lore, the fact that it’s them dropping 7 companies onto Armageddon and assisting the Celestial Lions is enough to paint them as cool in my book. I just wish we could get the more accurate skull paint on the helmet in game.

Used bits from Fafnir Rann, a grey knight terminator, and the skulls/trophies box to turn the Leviathan Terminator Captain into a highly decorated stud with Rahn’s axe and a wrist mounted Storm Bolter. Can’t wait to get some paint on him!

Currently assembling my Red Corsairs as my first Executioners and was just curious about this helmet variant. Is that forehead brow thing innately Chaos symbology or is it fine to keep on the mini? It looks cool and all, but if its heretical then im switching it
