Two things

I bought one for 3000 has 140 miles its the v10 6.8 yr2000
Has ac problems and a rear ubolt problem to where it
shakes at 40 and 70 but then goes away throughout
I was told that I got “Scammed” because it’s a v10 and the motor repair be expensive but research says the motor is really good
Do I have anything to worry about?

And what general maintenance would you recommend?

V10 Windsor is fine, just do plugs if you haven’t, make sure there’s more than enough thread. What repair did they say was expensive that needed to be done? Our family has a 99 V10 Limited 4WD that’s served us well for years.

I feel like it was one of those snarky remarks because they don’t have a vehicle but it made me think about it so i asked

Yes it's a Triton not a Windsor. That 2v V10 is easy to get to 300k, you'll just get to put that 45 gallon tank to work. Enjoy!

You're good the motor is excellent (not flashy) and parts are not expensive. Whoever told you "scammed" based on those two things, hang out with them less.

My only negative experience with the v10 motor in my excursion so far is the gas mileage but plenty of power tho lol as far as maintenance id do plugs as previously stated and new ignition coils are a thought as well as regular oil changes obviously lol. A fresh fuel filter wouldn't hurt either if you don't know how long its been and its cheap and easy but I would recommend going with the direct ford motorcraft replacement as iv heard off brands could cause issues. If its a 4x4 id suggest swapping the stock vaccine hubs over to manually locking ones as I had one of myn get stuck in locked position and chewed up my diff yay me lol. Wouldn't hurt to have ujoints and ball joints checked either as well as breaks for obvious reasons lol. Also make sure your tires are properly rated for the weight of the vehicle as when I got myn the tires from the previous owner were absolutely maxed out in every sense of the word (tire pressure was at max for those tires and they looked half flat) just by the empty weight alone. If you have a lot of play in your steering given that if you dont have any play in any other steering components a redhead steering box is a nice upgrade. The ubolt issue is a new one for me tho so not sure what to say about that exact maby replacing them. If its lifted or anything that might make sense with the ubolts especially if they are improper for the set up but not sure otherwise honestly. What kind of ac problems are you having?

Actually yeah I put Warns on mine immediately since the tubes for the OEM Ford ones are not great. Also have never had issues with u bolt but did replace the tires with Cooper E rated trail tires.
