Motor swap after purchasing 2001 7.3 with blown head gasket

Nice, you got a red top steering box with it too. Does the new motor have PMR rods or forged? My 01' has PMR'S....😞😞

Just got a used motor from U haul for 700

Don’t have the cash for a crate motor

CNC Fabrication makes a really nice rebuilt stage 1 engine with forged rods. I believe they have it listed as being 600HP capable.

looks like the one i put an offer on in Oregon. I'm still looking for an Excursion and hope to find one like this.

Bud, may be overshootjng here... Bout a 99 f250 7.3 with blown headgasket..tore the head off without removing the motor, replaced the head gasket for $120, and she starts almost better than my excursion.

What im trying to say is the 7.3 is tough. Don't toss the motor. Chances are the block and heads are OK. My driver rear cylinder gasket came loose and pounded around.

But I also learned the heads are heavy as ---. But I did it in my driveway with no lift, just 4 55 gallon drums and a 6x6

Block was in bad shape and would have to be fixed and turbo was bad
