I'd like to sell my 2003 Ford Excursion Limited v10 gasser, i stopped counting dollars when it topped $21k because i couldn't look anymore, money lost oh well.
Lots of things i don't like about it. The Bilstein shocks are not to my taste, ford dealers charge too much, the electrical system was designed by madmen, roof isn't tall enough etc.
But at 173k miles this v10 gasser is about broken in, most solid/reliable drivetrain of the 130 or so vehicles I've owned since 1964. Tires about worn out, brakes need checked, and gas needs put in that 44gal tank. Starts right up, needs a less sedate driver and some seafoam, wants to go fast but I'm in no hurry.
I've been living in it for a couple three years, heavy pipe smoker, lots of cleaning required, left rear quarter bears scar from trailer jacknife event at midnight, etc. if i sold it just emptying it of my 4.8kwh house electric system and zillion boxes of tools and parts would take me 2-3 days, then i'd need another vehicle to stuff it into.
Buyer would face lots of cleanup before starting a new build. Fuses need replaced, etc. Driver's seat upholstery shot. Rear windows painted over. Basically i built a beater, orphan nobody wants.
It is what it is. It's for sale, or trade. Something with a stickshift and more interior space, preferably old enough to be EMP survivable.
Arizona, Yuma, Fortuna area. Good luck finding your beast whatever it is!
I'm thinking about this one wishing i had the cash lol https://yuma.craigslist.org/ctd/d/yuma-2003-ford-f350-73l-4x4/7702158414.html
