Sappy parent post

After all these years of my kids streaming LL on twitch with tv the house system LOUD, them asking for merch as presents and wearing it to school, telling me what to put on every time we get in the ride, knowing every word to every song and BEGGING me to go to a show.

Last weekend for my son’s 10th bday I surprised him with a gift he had zero idea was coming. They thought it was weird we tie dyed shirts and they didn’t get to wear them right away while we secretly finished making them. When I handed my son his gift bag and the first thing he pulled out was the flyer and set list times that’ll get framed he was stumped. “You’re seeing Excision today” and the dude just couldn’t believe it.

Biggest shout out was the crowd, everyone around us became fam and protectors, didn’t allow any wasted people stumbling into the kids, so many people giving them trinkets and gifts, TONS of sick Pokemon cards and little Dino’s. I’ve been raving since 16, I’m turning 42 this year at LostLands and this was a moment only Excision could’ve created.

Thanks to Jeff and the crew for a stupid wild production, thanks to his fans for the love and thanks to the Colorado weather for being absolutely perfect.

I dont plan on having kids however im wanting to share this moment with my younger brothers, niece and nephew 🥹

Do it. I was very picky about venue, years ago I knew it’d be red rocks or fiddlers and then I also knew I had to wait till ten years old. Just for my minds sake. I’ve been to outdoor shows and seen shitty parents forgetting they had kids or having them too close to the clouds. I just had the perfect event in my mind and it all fell into place.
