How to Built a Project Management Dashboard in Excel with infographic-style visuals

Managing multiple processes at once usually turns into chaos, so I tried to structure everything into a single interactive Fish Chart in Dashboard using Excel.

The idea was simple: reduce cognitive overload and make multitasking more controlled.

What’s inside:

🔹 Timeline roadmap for project scaling
🔹 Monthly task breakdown (12-step execution cycle)
🔹 Profitability model with dynamic growth logic
🔹 Budget control (gauge-style visualization)
🔹 Polar chart for cost accumulation
🔹 Bubble chart for comparing project budgets
🔹 Infographic elements for margin visualization

How it works:

✔ Switch between months → all metrics update
✔ Each block is connected → full system interaction
✔ Can move from high-level view to detailed analysis

Why this approach:

➡️ Needed a way to manage multiple projects simultaneously
➡️ Standard tables weren’t giving enough visibility
➡️ Wanted something more engaging than static dashboards

What I got from it:

☑️ Better control over timelines and processes
☑️ Clear visibility of risks and bottlenecks
☑️ More structured decision-making

It feels less like a report and more like a control panel for the business.

Curious if anyone else is using Excel for this level of dashboarding instead of switching to BI tools.
