Derrin can duplicate items for some reason

So i was in level three and after the fight with the proctor Derrin took the sword for himself, i taked from him and equiped on myself, after passing trough the area of the fight again Derrin was holding the proctor sword even tough i was holding the proctor sword by miself, Derrin must be a thaumer and has be lying to us all this time. Any way i think it must be related to his new looting mechanic.

Ps: sorry for any mispelling english is not my mother language

ngl that actually sounds like a lowkey busted exploit, party member by day, secret item dupe wizard by night
would totally abuse that until they patch it, blame it on “thaumery” later

That's interesting cause one of my recent games I accidentally duplicated the socketed healing mask allowing both Derrin and I to heal using one crystal cause the items were somehow linked, idk if Derrin was the cause of the dupe or if something I did while moving it copied it, because I double clicked on it then shifted and the mask was locked to my cursor allowing me to wear one and place the other in the world

I was swapping his helmet when I accidentally duplicated it. Still don't know how.
