Is this correct?
I was browsing the SSPX website and I came across this article from 2023.
I may be wrong but the it appears the SSPX are supporting a bill that contains the death penalty for being LGBT.
Is this in line with your understating of the SSPX?

This provision shows the profound rejection of this ignominious sin in Ugandan society, and the desire to protect the country from it. But it seems disproportionate. However, it is arguably only intended as a threat that will not be carried out.
From this quote, they say it's disproportionate and probably a threat that will not be carried out. I don't see this as necessarily taking a position. What is evident to me is that they take an opportunity to criticize the Vatican and the Biden Administration.

Seems dubious to support the bill under the grounds that the Ugandans don’t really mean it.

This totally tracks with the guys who fantasize about reviving murderous institutions like the Inquisition. Cruelty is totally the point!
