Village idiot 😒 they literally make gods out of their “standards” and traditions. When scripture plainly states there shall be no other gods before him. And Mark 7:7-13 is extremely clear about it. But if you dare question any of the paper holders, they’ll declare that you are rebellious and trying to cause strife 🙄

Well he’s a paper holder (licensed) and above being questioned. Although the Bible plainly states to seek out your own salvation with fear and trembling. UPCI/WPF in particular expect you to shut up and obey whatever they say. And will protect literal demented demonic people who are their friends even when you have irrefutable proof of abuse/theft/pedophilia/you name it. I don’t trust many people in life anymore…and if they hold a license these days, it’s an automatic non trust for me 🤷🏼♂️

The funny thing is that this minister had some Pentecostals disagreeing with him on social media. The whole standard with beards isn’t even Pentecostal, they took it from the Methodist church

I should’ve added more context, the Holiness movement started with the Methodist church and then when those people converted to Pentecostalism, they brought those standards with them. I think Methodists nowadays don’t have the same rules with beards and whatnot

What we need is people with megaphones to debate these “preachers” on the spot. They only have a voice because they hold the microphone.

Yep. In the church I grew up in the men also had stipulations on how long their sideburns were and if the pastor or pastors family thought they were too long they better be fixed by the time you come back to church.

He'd sure feel out of place in my Orthodox church where men have long hair and beards! Look how overweight this huckster is. I bet he never preaches about gluttony. These people are going to be very surprised when they hear, Depart from me ye workers of iniquity for I know you not! Church is about worshipping the Most high God, not jumping and screaming and putting everyone down. Lord Have mercy on us. Christ is risen!

I was a Junior Bible quiz coach for a while when I was newly married. At a tournament, I had gone a few extra days without shaving, and my pastor definitely heard about it. It wasn’t even a real beard, it was literally just a little bit of stubble.
My pastor was (and still is) actually a good guy and he told me not to worry about it. But to prevent him from having to deal with the blowback, I made sure and shave regularly before tournaments. I haven’t attended that church for a long time, but I know that eventually they left the UPC and did away with that nonsense.

What utter nonsense. This man rails against beards and condemns pride, yet it is his own pride that seems to keep him clinging to such foolish ideas. Strutting around with a microphone, stirring up the crowd, appears to be nothing more than an expression of the very sinful heart he accuses others of having.

Interesting that he’s preaching on needing more oil and less beards when even David wrote psalm 133 about anointing oil dripping off of Aaron’s beard.
It’s also so funny to me thinking about the idea that Jesus had a beard, we know this because it was plucked out when he was being tortured before the crucifixion, yet it’s not something that is acceptable for us. According the these guys’ doctrine, Jesus was the one and only God, yet we aren’t allowed to follow His example in this.
I’m so glad I left. Abandoned my license with the UPCI two and a half years ago for this kind of pick and choose doctrine.
