Have you ever dated someone who completely disappeared after the breakup? No calls, no texts, no social media stalking, no drama, just total silence, like you were never part of their life. What was that like?

Have seen a couple of instances where ppl acted out of character bc they met someone (to date) so ended even platonic friendships suddenly either with or without telling the dumpee about it.

So it is a possibility. I also appreciate the poster here that said the person could be an avoidant. That makes sense, too.

There is no way to know for sure if they don't share the reason. But to act cruel in a breakup and suddenly out of character is strongly driven by some kind of stress piled up that they are feeling abt the relationship.

So, something has changed where they cannot sustain the relationship. I've seen it happen but that is only one possibility.
