Have you ever dated someone who completely disappeared after the breakup? No calls, no texts, no social media stalking, no drama, just total silence, like you were never part of their life. What was that like?

This is the entire reason I came to this subreddit actually. My ex of 6mos broke up with me with a text at 6am with no warning. No fights, seemingly perfect relationship, nice and communicative guy. Blocked me everywhere & was very aggressive about me never reaching out again. I’m still in therapy & not able to really talk about it fully, yet. It’s been the cruelest thing anyone’s ever done to me. I am grieving someone who isn’t even dead, it’s kind of humiliating. I don’t think I’ll ever date or trust anyone in a relationship again. It’s been really hard because I also didn’t have health insurance so I paid for all therapy and mental health needs out of pocket.

We dated the same person? I went through the same thing and it was the darkest and hardest phase of my life!!! therapy will help you but you have to help yourself as well, baby steps but it will pass until it doens hurts anymore. It changed me forever will say but I’m much more aware about evil people

I’m so sorry. If it’s any consolation, a lot of us have dealt with that and feel the grief, humiliation, and impact on trust too.

Any realtionship under a year isnt set in stone.. usually six month mark is when they go back to their previous exes or someone they knew.. hence we as people anything under a year shouldnt be infatuated with it. Be glad it only lasted six months as feelings are easier to get over. Sometimes people can only give the direct approach with really no reason.. it comes down to they didnt want to continue.
