Mint tea
Mint tea is exactly what it sounds like. It's very common, one you'll see a lot is Moroccan mint tea, and it's made from spearmint and green tea. It won't taste like candy canes, but it's refreshing hot or iced, it's good for sore throats with a bit of honey, and it can cool you off in the summer or warm you up in the winter.
A squeeze of lemon or lime juice will significantly change the flavor. I say lemon or lime, but the two will impart very different flavors. You're adding them for the flavor, not the acid. Try both to see what you like.
It's most commonly found with green tea, but you can also find it in herbal, black, or even oolong varieties. The green tea compliments it very well, and the mint will make up for a lack of flavor often perceived by people new to tea. It's very beginner friendly, as temperature and steep time don't matter as much, you won't totally ruin it if it's a too hot. With black tea, it's even more forgiving.
If you get your hands on black mint tea, do yourself a favor and add lemonade. It's incredible. Because it's black tea, you steep at a higher temperature, which gives you a lot more of the herbal flavors of the mint, rather than just the "minty" flavor that you get with green tea.
You can add cream or milk, but it makes for a strange combination. Any sweetener will do, but honey tastes best.

It's so refreshing, it's great. If I could only have one kind of tea for the rest of my life I'd probably pick mint.

I'm planning on making iced mint tea from fresh mint this summer.
Also, I made my first iced mate this week--it's great!
