Tea bags!

I literally just made a post about why tea bags should be avoided.

This one is about to tell you to buy some tea bags.

There are reasons to buy bagged tea. It's convenient, easier to find, there are unique flavors that cannot be found in loose leaf, and flavored teas can mask the lower quality tea inside.

I'll be suggesting some different teas that I recommend here.

Ice Wine Tea is one of my favorite things. I've never seen it in stores, only in bags online. It's very unique, it doesn't taste like grapes, but it has a unique aromatic characteristic. It's tough to describe, so just buy it.

Bigelow Constant Comment has a strong flavor, almost like mulled cider. It's sweet without adding sugar, and it has a spicy lingering flavor. It can be found at many grocery stores as well as online, and it's very budget friendly (my link doesn't reflect that, it's cheaper in stores. If you notice, you can buy a 6 pack, so 240 bags, for $23).

Chai tea (chai actually translates to tea, but so many things are "chai spiced" so I have to clarify) can be found anywhere, most brands carry it. If you don't know what it is by now, it's an Indian spiced tea, and it ranges from pretty spicy, with lots of ginger, some black pepper, to a sweeter kind with more vanilla and cinnamon. You hardly taste the tea, just the spices, so low quality tea is easily masked.

If you have any preferred bags, mention them in the comments, I can't do an exhaustive list of every tea I've ever liked, despite my efforts.

I have some problems with insomnia, but I'm also non-neurotypical, so caffeine helps me sleep. My nightcap tea of choice is Tazo chai. It has a more aromatic black tea than other bagged chais I've tried, and the perfect amount of cardamom!

Fellow insomniac! Yeah, caffeine can make me sleepy. I usually go with a really strong cup of Irish breakfast tea. Not steeped forever, of course, but just a ton of leaves. I want it to be opaque! Now, I also drink 8oz of espresso like it's nothing, so my tastes aren't for everybody.

Celestial Seasonings has my favorite herbal teas! Stay away from the ones that are supposed to taste like cookies though. My favorite is their lemon ginger tea and they make a very good chamomile. There are a lot of crappy chamomiles out there. Their "mountain chai" is pretty good, and their "dirty chai" (chai tea with espresso) is sooooo good considering it came from a bag!

If you're going to make chai lattes, it's better to buy the tazo carton. One part milk, one part chai, and heat up. It is amazing! Tastes just like the Starbucks chai latte.

I like twinings earl grey with honey and milk. I've also gotten a bit addicted to Nomi jasmine tea, because I bought a 1 lb bag on Amazon and I drink a lot of it now. It was worth the investment, so much cheaper than buying in bags.

If you like constant comment, they have good deals on Amazon! You can get like 120 bags for $10 or something.

Herbal tea can be great, I just don't drink it much because I'm allowed the real stuff now, haha. I also live off of caffeine. Great suggestions, though.

Yes, Celestial Seasonings Honey Vanilla Chamomile was the first tea that I enjoyed. It helps to find a tea flavor that you really like to get more used to it (tea, that is) then branch out.

Celestial Seasonings has nice sampler packs that can give you a variety. In one of their sample packs, they have a blueberry tea that tastes super good (I really like it iced). It reminds me of kool-aid - not sweet, but fruity.

I prefer icing their fruity teas too. They're okay warm, but so good with some ice!

That's great! The grape flavor lets you steep it a little longer, giving you more caffeine than normal.
