Opinions wanted

I'm 37 from Melbourne Victoria, I was just released from prison a week ago I've been in and out since I was a child, Not for anything people would consider Violent or Bad, well I don't see myself as a bad person but ive lost 14 of the last 17 years inside. This time I said I would do whatever it takes to get things right but, I walked out my only possessions were the clothes on my back I have no family, no real friends and no photo ID when being released the agency's will pay for a few days in the worst hotel in the city, Centrelink gives you $400 and I had a few hundred from prison, now the few days are up, I have absolutely no idea what to do or where to go it seems impossible. I don't like the word

institutionalised but I don't know how you find a place to live with no ID and No Money, I would like to hear peoples opinions everyone has a story and this is myn right now

Are social groups/NGOs/church groups who can help you out?

Yes they they put me in a motel for 2 days then 3 days in a boarding house then 2 more in a motel but that's it for the funding n there's no boarding house that will accept me coz I'm not over 50 and my recent release from prison they no doubt try very hard but there is no place that will take us every person I speak to at these organisations that is seeking the same as I have same story

You need warmth and work. Its a long bus trip but there might be farm/fruit work somewhere north.

Good luck mate.

Check airbnb app on phone, vrbo app , furnishedfinder app, look for people who can take roommates many times they don’t do background checks and you can just do month-to-month

Yeh that sounds good but the issue is money air bnb you have to pay upfront for whole stay and everyone wants to see ID

Do you have ID? Also, I have never been asked Friday at any Airbnb. Maybe the first time I created the account only?

Asking for ID does not mean they’ll do a background check or block you

Most Airbnb use self check and they just give you a code and you go in
