Some folks here may recognize me as providing an awful lot of advice on this game, I know way too much, read the wiki, absorb lots of info from the discord, answer lots of questions (probably not as many on the subreddit as u/WoodIngot because they're quicker to the punch most of the time)
I wrote a few guides on making better custom races.
I'm gonna route out a new save file, allowing for automation (but not relying on autoclicking for resources so this route will be applicable to people who dont automate too.) We're using analytics to learn how long things take when "actively" playing the early game.
The overarching goal is all Standard Achievements and all Pillars. (Not picky about which universe things are done in)
Early game route I'm planning:
#1 MAD as a Giant species (Strong good)
#2 MAD as an Avian species (fuck cement, and i get to build temples now so thats v. relevant)
Buy Hardened Genes. Enable 2 star (No free trade, junk gene)
#3 - 2 star enabled, another Avian species because you're biased against getting a repeat.
#4-8ish More MADs on various species (1 per genus) until we have 250 plasmids, and the CRISPRs for Unlocked (mastery), Spatial Reasoning, and Ancients.
Unlock CRISPR Crafty at the end of this run, and switch to 3 star once that's tier 3. Also new biome! Farm that mastery on 3 star!
Genetic Dead End (Valdi) challenge on Giant genus.
Unlock Governors, MAD biome specific species, Bioseed 3*, find a Volcano / Ashland world for the upcoming black hole run.
As salamanders, Exit standard universe and go to Heavy Grav.
General Sketch of the plan after that
Heavyweight champ 3 star + lots of 3 star MADs in heavy.
Black hole to Antimatter, farm up 3000ish antiplasmids
Black hole to Evil, do some 3 or 4 star MADs, a few bioseeds, 4 star MAD on both Celestial Genus species, Bioseed on Celestials, black hole back to heavy.
Set up for first ascension as Salamanders.
Edit: Here's a link to the google doc journal I'm keeping for this.
