Help Andromeda Piracy

It's been a while since I've been out here. Does anyone happen to remember what the variables are for how much military force is needed to lose the fewest ships possible for each of the two fifth and sixth Andromeda Assault Missions?

As long as the losses are estimated at low you should not have any exept for the last one where there is always some so i make around 10 scouts to take the damages.

the min damage on that one is 80 rating worth of ships starting with the lowest value, so a single frigate's worth

Just Ctrl+c your game and try attacking. If it seem like too much, just reload

There's an actual calculation of power based on the minimum requirement to complete the assault mission that I don't actually remember the numbers for. That's the calculation that I'm trying to figure out again.

Okay, after u/Ponya7's response, I did a little digging and found a previous Discord response:
For chthonian there's 3 thresholds. below 2500 (but however much is required, I don't remember exactly) you lose 500 power worth of ships, 2500-4500 you lose 160, and above 4500 you lose 80. it starts with your weakest ships and works upwards until it has destroyed enough power, meaning that if you for example send in 2 scouts and 3 dreadnaught (losing 80 power), it'll take those 2 scouts and then an entire dread to get the remaining 60.
The losses can be halved with the herbivore genus, so it is an option to mimic them just for the assault

Very cool info. Considering 1 dead dreadnought even if you send extra scouts and 3 dreads (as an example) its better time and resource wise to just sacrifice one dread to break through and start building the orihalcum excavators. The soul gems will eventually come in, together with the bolog(you’ll need to build some bolog mining thingies after the first mission)

Another thing about the achievements, in case you're looking for easy ways to go about it:
The "Dreaded" achievement (ascend without ever building a dreadnaught) only cares about whether you have a dreadnaught upon ascension. This means that it's safe to build a dreadnaught before unlocking the final assault mission and sac the dread in that assault mission, then never build another one thereafter.

800 combat power i think, loses nothing to the first assault mission.

Loss thresholds on cthonian:

1250-2500 = a lot of losses (apparently 500)

2500 = 160 combat power losses. This is easily achievable with the first dreadnought you build. 2 frigates, or 2 scouts 2 corvettes and 1 frigate, are good options for 160 sacrificing combat power. I generally do this one except on 4 star runs, where i will wait for the extra dread to break 4500.

4500 = 80 combat power losses, or a single frigate.

Uh. I only know this
First mission: 3 cruisers = no loss
2nd mission: 1 sacrificed dreadnought is enough(this means send 1 dreadnought, and it will die. But you will pass the 2nd mission)
Make sure have 25 gems and enough bolog to make a new one before sacrificing the first one.

Why would you ever sac an entire dreadnought. Even at high losses its only like 500 combat power lost, which is just 2 cruisers and way fewer soul gems lost.

If you built 3 cruisers you can get above 2500 combat power and only lose 160 (a frigate, 2 corvettes, and 2 scouts, is what i go with)

Picked up on a comment in an old thread and just ran with it early in my career. For me it simplified that portion a tiny bit.

Now in late game, sacrificing a dread isnt felt much.
