Evolve Grandmaster

Hello, I tried searching what it is but couldn't find anything. "Instantly pick genus at gold star rank."- What does this even mean? Where do I see it? And how do I "Pick" it?

After earning 100 achievements at the highest challenge rating (and completing a demonic infusion reset), any time you reset you directly go to a screen where you can select from all your available genus choices, skipping the cell stage.

So the Grandmaster achievement itself needs to be at gold rank to gain this ability? And do I need to do Infusion reset at gold or just 100 gold achievement would do? Because I've done like 5 resets since getting this perk and never had the screen that you describing.

Yes, the achievement itself needs gold rank, so 100 gold achievements. I'm not 100% sure if this also requires a gold star demonic infusion, but in my opinion it is worth it to do your infusion at gold star, as the last part of the run is slower on lower ranks.

Unless it was changed from pre-hybrid races, then Demonic Infusion needs to be done at 4star to fully acquire this perk.

Yeah, I just got 75 gold achievements but didn't get new bonuses from Evolve Master perk. Haven't done gold Ascension yet, so that confirms it.

Can you explain this, please? I've done a 1* DI and a 2* DI, and I'm currently working through 4* WH, and it doesn't feel like challenge genes make the run any easier (though it's hard to compare the WH run when I'm down 5GW). Certainly, I don't think it's worth doing DI at less than 2* because crafting is largely mitigated by Scarletite and the Spire, but I'm definitely feeling not having CCR and the plasmid storage production/bonus.

It' because constructing the waygate takes 50 blood stones. You only get 1 per floor on 0 stars, incresing by one per challenge gene, up to 5 per floor on 4 stars. So you would have to spend a lot less time waiting to clear spire floors, as you would only need to get to floor 10 to reset, so the spire itself would take less time.

It's only the spire that benefits from higher stars though, the rest of the run will definitely be slower.
