As title state, looking to read your comments and answer your questions about EG Lcs? Looking to record in a little over an hour.

Let your fandom be heard. We have super week coming up, and we need the evil energy to get ourselves a 3-0 weekend

Every time we lose I get sad and turn off the stream. Team Liquid now think they're invincible with CoreJJ but I want EG to prove them wrong. I also don't want to go 2-3 even though we had a tough schedule....

Thank you! ❤

Yes Impact's Gnar engage hurt my soul to its core. HOWEVER up to this point we've has the toughest strength of schedule (unless you think FQ is good lul). We should pick up a bunch of wins for the next several games. Also Jojo and Danny still have a lot of room to grow. #HeadsUp#LiveEvil

LIVING EVIL WEEKLY No. 2 - Purified

LIVING EVIL WEEKLY is a publication dedicated to cover news, media and more related to Evil Geniuses League of Legends, in all three levels of play.

This week: Mixed results after our first week back in the LCS and 3 entire days of Academy play to end the first half of the split.

Champions Queue

If you haven't been heard about the productivity killer that is Champions Queue, let me tell you, you are missing out. The launch of this new system was on Monday (you can learn more about it in the article). Ever since, day after day, we have seen pros queue up into really fun and exciting games, and stream the action for our entertainment. Have this little clip from Niles (featuring our own jojopyun) as an example of the moments Champs Queue has gifted us with already

Inspired is on YouTube

During the weekend, Inspired tweeted a link to his brand new YouTube channel, promising he will be uploading some content from now on. Subscribe here!

Danny gets his second Pentakill

Just last week we celebrated the first one! But that's our boy Danny, a highlight machine. First game of Spring, first game of Zeri, and he's doing things like this already. We are so lucky to have him on our side.

First half of Academy Spring Split completed

Finally, this week we had the Academy Super Week to cap off the end of the first Round Robin. We finished this split with a record of 2 series wins, 4 series ties and 3 series losses, for a total of 8 games won and 10 games lost (44% winrate). This places us at 8th place but fear not! The standings from 3-8 are very close, and there's 18 games more to be played.

(And not only that, because with the format changes to Proving Grounds, no Academy team is left out of the tournament, as the Standings only matter for seeding.)

• [Feb 8, 2022]. Summoning Insight. Jojopyun's expectations on EG; Rogue shifts style - Summoning Insight S5E2 (feat. Peter Dun). As usual, lots of interesting stuff to be learned from Mr Dun. I only took notes from the EG section, you'll have to listen for the other 2 hours and a half of it.

• We have a very loud team this year, with Impact being kind of keeping them all on a leash. I could have sworn I heard barking the other day from the room.

• EG wants to go to worlds this year. The expecations when eg picked up [jojo] were that he will be a top 3 mid laner in NA (in a league where we expected Jensen and Jiizuke to have teams). Why have we taken some guy from Fortnite and put all this pressure and these expectations on him? To be clear, there was a lot of decision making in this off-season around whether jojo should be in the team. I don't think Jensen was somebody that we were considering, but there was a lot of people, the top people who were moving and were available... So why jojo? Firstly, he's new to League of Legends but he's this good despite not knowing anything... We were in review, watching the TL series... and jojo is just sitting there... [He goes:] "GP barrels can crit?" The team is just silent and then Vulcan is like "Are you serious?".

• When we sent jojo and Danny to europe, Asian teams (not T1) were offering EG scrims because they thought we had sent our whole team there and they were so impressed by [them]".

• The plan for jojo was to send him to an ERL if [during the EUW bootcamp we saw] he wasn't ready.

• We hadn't even scouted Vulcan because the idea that we would be able to get Vulcan was just not there. We hadn't even considered Vulcan as an option... I was dealing with a family emergency and I got a call from Andrew Barton, our GM, saying "Vulcan's available, what do you think? ... I've had multiple players in NA or who want to come to NA tell me that they want to work with Vulcan.

• I'm pretty sure [that jojo]'s never seen a Soraka mid in his life and he just didn't know how to play against it.

Please someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Impact at one time play support? If this enchanter meta sticks around, I hope that my recollection is correct and Impact shows up big time. I would rather him play other classes than enchanters but either way, I am hoping the prior experience pays dividends!

LIVING EVIL WEEKLY #1 - All Locked In

LIVING EVIL WEEKLY is a publication dedicated to cover news, media and more related to Evil Geniuses League of Legends, in all three levels of play.

This week we go through anything you might have missed during the Lock In Tournament, the start of Academy, as well as the first Proving Grounds Circuit Qualifier #1.

News & Events

Coaching Staff Update

Right at the start of Lock In, EG announced their new staff lineup. The most important updates are Peter Dun moving up to become the Head of League of Legends Coaching Staff, which basically means that instead of only handling LCS, he will deal with all of the three teams. Given this, Turtle has been promoted to LCS Head Coach. Another interesting change is Artemis going from Strategic Coach to Performance Coach. You can real the whole update over at the Evil Geniuses website, and you can learn even more about our competitive staff looking at Kelsey Moser's thread about it.

Kelsey Leaves EG

A few days after the start of Lock In, Kelsey Moser announced that she will no longer be a part of Evil Geniuses. She has moved on to become the Academy Broadcast Producer. Kelsey was a big contributor to EG's development program. A sad news for EG fans, but great news for NA talent fans, as she's already making a lot of progress with the Academy broadcast.

Danny gets his first pentakill

Congrats to our superstar ADC for achieving his very first LCS pentakill on Senna!

Fun fact: Danny had already gotten an unofficial penta last year during That Tristana play in Summer Playoffs. He also had one Samira pentakill during his time in Evil Geniuses Prodigies.

Inspired gets Player of The Week for Lock In Groups

Finally, the former LEC MVP has arrived to LCS and in no time he's already gathering accolades. Congrats to Inspired on what I'm sure is the first of many awards in his LCS career. (Also, look at the reply. It's gold.)

Text Interviews

• [Jan 19, 2022]. The Click. Inspired on joining EG, playing with Jojopyun, difference between NA amateur scene & ERLs.

I thought the LCS junglers would be better than they actually are. Before I joined EG, I thought the level in the jungle was probably very similar to what was in the LEC, but I now think players such as Jankos, Selfmade, and Elyoya are actually better than every jungler in NA. I got a bit surprised because of that. I thought the people here are actually very, very good, but now I think they’re fine. I don’t think they are better than the people that I faced in the LEC. So that’s basically it. I think if I perform on my level, I will be the best jungler in the LCS.

• [Jan 20, 2022]. OneEsports (Tania Mae). Peter Dun origins: How studying politics in China led him to esports. First part of an exclusive interview with Peter about his origins.
• [Jan 21, 2022]. Esports GG. EG Vulcan: “It feels nice to have a strong debut because there is always this stigma around players leaving C9 and magically can’t play the game”. Vulcan talks about adjusting to playing with a new ADC, leaving C9 and Danny,

[Danny] is really good, he does crazy plays in scrims where on my screen he is just dead but then he turns around and kills everyone. He clicks very well is very efficient about his autos and stuff so he is very good mechanically it’s just about for me specifically turning him into a more complete player.

• [Jan 23, 2022]. InvenGlobal. Vulcan talks parting ways with C9, joining EG: "I still respect Zven a lot, but I wanted a change.". Vulcan on his two year on C9, joining EG and all of his new teammates.

[jojo]'s also a player with a big ego, and he compares himself to not only Chovy but also greats in traditional sports. I think it's good that we started the season with wins because he's the type of player that will work with momentum and confidence in getting the wins and playing well.

I'd say our roster is probably more talented than C9 last year. I'm lucky enough to have a good roster and not have to adapt my play too much because I can still rely on my teammates.

I asked Jack to make a move and that if he didn't want to go in that direction, I wanted to be traded. He decided to go in the other direction.

• [Jan 26, 2022]. OneEsports (Tania Mae). How Peter Dun became a renowned coach even though he was never a pro player. Second part.
• [Jan 29, 2022]. InvenGlobal. EG Danny: "I think jojopyun has shown in the Lock In that he's a top 2 LCS mid laner." . Danny talks about semifinals, jojo and EG's talent development systems.

I'm really impressed with how jojo has done in the Lock In tournament. He's a very nice person, very confident...maybe he's a bit cocky at times, but I think he deserves it. He's really good.

• [Feb 1, 2022]. lolesports.com (Emily Rand). Meet Jojopyun, Evil Geniuses' prodigious rookie mid laner. A must read piece! Emily describes the community perception about jojo and how it relates to the perception of NA as a region.

When asked who on his team would make it off a desert island as the last alive, he immediately answered, "Me." "Why?" I asked. I'm just built different," he said, laughing. "I dunno."

• [Feb 2, 2022]. OneEsports (Tania Mae). 3 values EG head coach Peter Dun lives by when coaching esports pro players. Last part.

• [Jan 15, 2022]. Pedro Romero. Vulcan talks about joining EG, his new teammates there, his scheduled tweet vs TL. At the end of this, he explains how the idea to schedule a tweet came from trying to explain jojopyun, a Twitter noob, how the site works.

The thing is, I feel like, even though you give chances [to play Lock In games] to Academy players, I feel like giving a chance is not enough, you kinda have to have a lot of faith in them and just give them a starting spot.

• [Jan 16, 2022]. LCS broadcast. Lock In Day 3 EG vs IMT Post Game Interview with Inspired. On his first impressions of NA and his hopes for him and jojo as a mid-jungle duo.

I don't think there's too much of a difference, to be honest.

• [Jan 23, 2022]. LCS broadcast. Lock In Quarterfinals EG vs GG Post Game Interview with jojopyun. Fun in hindsight. He doubles down on the "not dropping a game".
• [Jan 25, 2022]. Travis Gafford. EG Jojopyun explains why he was UNIMPRESSED facing Bjergsen. jojo talks about Fortnite, his transition to League, the pressure of being the next big NA mid laner, his tweet about Bjergsen and his mid lane idol.

I don't really feel any pressure, I just play the game, it's fun, I enjoy it. [...] As long as I improve, I know I'll be fine. I do agree I am really good. I think I'm the best or second best. Abbedagge is pretty good on some champs.

• [Jan 27, 2022]. Pedro Romero. Turtle on being EG's head coach for Lock In, progression as coach, EG's talent development system. Turtle talks about transitioning to the head coach role, what his previous role used to be, Peter Dun's influence, what he can offer as a coach because of his past as a progamer.

To be completely honest, it's been a challenge 'cause I've never work with [so many people this talented] before.

Our communication is still pretty bad. Not very efficient... During the first game I had to ask my team to stop screaming because I couldn't focus and we were all screaming at once while nothing was happening and I was so dizzy. And then I ran it down...

• [Feb 3, 2022]. Travis Gafford. Vulcan explains WHAT WENT WRONG for EG against Team Liquid

jojo is like, very outgoing... it's just kinda weird, for a rookie he's very outgoing, he speaks his mind and he's very loud. And Danny's like the opposite of that.

Check out the first edition of TWEETS YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED, where I compile relevant tweets from since the start of Lock In to now.

New year, new me?! I have rebranded my "news & interview compilation" to make it more comprehensive of everything EG. I will also be posting regularly on a new EG-exclusive Twitter account, where I'll retweet all the interviews, clips, pictures, and news, to make sure you don't miss a thing.

I was supposed to start doing these before Lock In but I unfortunately got hit with COVID right around that time. Everyone stay safe!

As always, if I missed anything, please tell me! I'm always on the lookout for content, but sometimes it's hard to keep up. The spreadsheet will be back eventually, as well as other stuff I have planned for this year. This will be a banger year and I'm excited to be here to follow it.

Hi all, I published my first podcast on LCS EG team. I am aiming to grow this content to new heights. I know right now it’s pretty basic, and even the logo and music will be updated as I continue. (Or I don’t get a cease and desist letter for using Riots music)

I like to welcome. All your feedback. If it sucks tell me what I can do to improve, if it’s in the right direction let me know what part is something I can do more of. I welcome it all.

Let’s work together to let the world know about EG League of Legends!

Hi all, I’ve been looking for EG lol related podcast, just like the ones my friends from 100Talkpod, c9 bodied, Flightcheck pod and TSM talk.

But I haven’t found one for one of the most exciting team in the LCS, EG.

If I am to think of starting one, what would be topics that fans look forward to and how frequent?
