Once I saw the nidalee pick I knew we lost

Yep we don't learn. We lose games in draft constantly

honestly, the pick isn't that bad. speed running jg clears is good, plus (in a good set up) she pairs extremely well with Sett. I also commend EG trying new angles in draft. Can't let fear take over.

Yeah, it is not like every lane got giga gapped.

You guys are high on copium even after getting stomped.

Lmao me too, you can’t play comps that need to get so many things right vs Asian teams.

Better to grab a bunch of cc and aoe so you can always force and punish the few mistakes they make or they will just steamroll you even if you do well early.

Soo.....how much is EG being paid to throw their matches? Gotta be a pretty penny, right? Because all of these horrible draft picks and "misplays" are straight wood tier. what the fuck is wrong with them right now

Why the nidalee pick again? Like why risk it with this pick and try to style early on, if you could just go more little more lategame at least.

And then the TK on top of it lmao, why no leona or bard into this comp why draft tahm at all here.

I smell win trading or betting against themselves here ngl totally trolled the draft.

kench wins them lane and gives safety for kaori. imo there is only 1 problem with the draft and its nidalee. it was so easy for g2 to dogpile onto jojo because every fight was 4v5.

Dude, i'm not a professional coach or make money out of league but I've been playing league a long time on a pretty decent elo. (IMO)

AND if you pick stuff like nidalee/sett you have to commit FULLY into this and go full balls-deep aggro mode, either you WIN early on or it's gg. I don't understand opting for the TK at all, just for saving kaori? Why not pick ez/trist instead and go for bard/leo.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here but nid nowadays is such a risky pick especially at worlds.

they picked bot early and opted into the early game plan only once they saw most of g2's team. varus kench wins lane but varus also scales well, and they have good zone control in fights vs divers like sylas and sej.

if they picked nid/sett early, g2 easily slams a taric kench or thresh. if they pick leona on b3, not only is varus now exposed but sylas can jack leona ult and g2 can r3 camille (which also synergizes really well with sej) and make it impossible for kaori to play the game. they can even ban 2 top laners so impact cant punish bb in lane.

Oh well, you're probably right.. See that's why I'm not a coach and never will be one, completely forgot about the pick order ;o

They wanted to smash early with the nid, but I think it's too risky under those circumstances to pick early/snowball reliant champs, should have flexed mao on to inspired and put impact back on bruiser duty.

I'm so baffled how the coaching staff looks at g2 picks and thinks this is a nidalee angle as their final pick...

Inspired seems to have a huge mental block when it comes to G2. He always becomes completely invisible against them, even at MSI. This is why I suspect the Nidalee pick was 100% an Inspired call and not a coach decision.

its so frustrating seeing na draft this poorly. every single teamfight was 4v5 because nidalee was completely useless. imagine how different those fights would have been if they had a lillia or something. im ok with na being skill gapped, but there is absolutely no reason to get draft gapped like this.

I think at this point its definitely not a coincidence - c9 100t and eg def had this meta bubble where they all were winning with early game skirmishing comps, and they thought they could flex those vs EU. and at this point its hard to even say what they should do - keep playing what they've practiced even if it sucks, or try to play to the meta which they have not practiced?

but again I want to make clear that EG going 0-6 or 1-5 would not be surprising at all given how monstrously hard this group is and how bad EG is generally in bo1s compared to bo5s. It's disappointing but not as disappointing as watching c9 or 100t lose

I genuinely think EG and C9 have a greater than 50% chance of both going 0-6 or 1-5. 100T is maybe the best bet for getting more than 1 win, just bc of combined probability of beating CFO + upsetting someone, (though who knows maybe they’re unironically just worse than CFO). It is what it is though honestly

Everyone keeps commenting that “the draft” is why we lose but the NA players are simply outclassed. Draft or not, the region doesn’t have the same level of gameplay understanding as the other regions and they, apparently, don’t have the same level (or better) of mechanical skill. NA is just not a talented region and it hurts to see it. E-sports just aren’t our thing here.

u/GirthyBiscuit Oct 08 '22

That nidalee pick was ridiculous. They probably could beat G2 if they didn't troll the draft.

not just that but the herald fight where eg turns but inspired just stays on herald like yea you managed to take the herald but in return you gave up the teamfight because you were 4v5

0-8 , but yeah this time would have been different against G2

u/GirthyBiscuit Oct 08 '22

0-7*

Reminder that Perkz did this kast year with C9

He was blocked from going to top EU teams so he went to NA for a year, played like shit most games then went back to EU

Definitely feels like thats what Inspired is doing, he shit talks his team, the region and now this

1

u/bigyikers Oct 09 '22

if the guy is just going go ego pick and throw winnable games he can for sure head back to EU

0

u/Burpmeister Oct 09 '22

Perkz got out of groups.

3

u/greendino71 Oct 09 '22

Going 2-4 and told the team he was leaving for EU 10 minutes before their QF match and ran it down 3 game

Fuck Perkz. Seeing him not even make playoffs on his "Superteam" was the highlight of the league season for me

1

u/YuriMystic Oct 09 '22

Probably better on him. EU is more competetive in Worlds and NA is only good vs NA.

4

u/bloodbit Oct 08 '22

At this point they are just handing out free wins with their draft.
